Pathetic and disappointing Experience at Paradise Biryani, Shamshabad
We are in Hyderabad for the first time, I was excited to try the legendary Paradise Biryani, given its reputation. Unfortunately, my visit to the Shamshabad branch turned out to be an utterly disappointing experience in every aspect—food, service, and overall experience.
Service – Slow and Unprofessional
From the moment we walked in, the service was a complete letdown. The staff seemed disinterested and unresponsive. Despite the restaurant being almost empty, it took an unreasonable amount of time for someone to even acknowledge us. Placing an order felt like a task in itself, with the servers barely paying attention. To make things worse, after taking our order, they disappeared, leaving us waiting for what felt like an eternity.
Food – Far from the Hype
Since Hyderabadi Biryani is the highlight, we had high hopes. However, what we got was nowhere near the authentic taste we expected. The biryani was dry, lacked aroma, and was far from flavorful. The rice was overcooked in some parts and undercooked in others, and the masala barely had any richness. It felt like something hastily thrown together rather than a dish prepared with care. The accompanying raita and salan were bland and watery, adding nothing to the experience.
Ambience – Deserted and Lacking Energy
The atmosphere was okay in terms of cleanliness, but the place was completely deserted, which was quite surprising for such a well-known brand. The emptiness only added to the dull experience, making it feel like we had walked into an abandoned restaurant rather than a popular biryani spot.
Overall Verdict
For a brand that prides itself on being synonymous with Hyderabadi biryani, the Shamshabad outlet of Paradise failed miserably in every department. Poor service, subpar food, and an uninspiring atmosphere made this visit a complete waste of time and money. If this is what the “best” biryani in Hyderabad is supposed to be, then it’s nothing but overhyped marketing.
Wouldn’t recommend it at all—there are probably much better local places that serve actual Hyderabadi Biryani with the taste and hospitality...

I recently visited the Paradise Biryani outlet near Hyderabad Airport, and while the food lived up to the brand’s reputation, the overall experience was unfortunately let down by the service.
Let me start with the good part – I ordered the Veg Paneer Biryani, and it was absolutely delicious. Just like their other branches, the flavor, aroma, and quantity were spot on. If you’re a biryani lover, this is still a great option for a fulfilling meal. I wouldn’t recommend ordering vegetarian starters though – they weren’t up to the mark. I can’t comment on the non-veg items, but vegetarians might want to stick to just the biryani here.
Now, coming to the service – it was terrible. Despite the restaurant being almost empty (barely 5 customers), the staff were extremely slow and unresponsive. People were literally arguing with the wait staff out of frustration. Customers were seated for over 30 minutes without anyone even coming to take their order. It was chaotic and disappointing to witness such poor hospitality from a well-known brand like Paradise.
The ambience is nothing special – quite average, and not particularly inviting. On the plus side, they do have ample parking and it’s conveniently located just 10 minutes from the Hyderabad Airport, so if you’re traveling, it could be a quick stop for a good meal (only if you have the time and patience to wait for it).
Overall, if you’re only there for the taste of the biryani, you won’t be disappointed. But be prepared for a long wait and uninspired service. There are definitely better biryani spots in Hyderabad you might want to explore, especially if you value good service along...
Read moreI was here for the dinner woth my family and friends. Order time was around 8.15pm wait time was morethan 1hr and service was at its peak worst I would rather use word awful. There was no item in the that I asked for and the guy said we don't have it everything is sold out. I guess the paradise is known for its biryani right that fellow took almost 45mins get a chicken biryani. Why would some one spend that much money on a biryani for this awful taste amd waste his precious time for tasteless biryani and meat was overcooked it feels rubbery texture I asked waiter about meat he said it dum meat it is feels the same rubbery texture only. I would rate -10 for the quality of the food. Coming veg menu spread I have ordered sweet corn soup trust me I literally got 7 pieces of corn and few spring onion and starch with no salt. They took 25mins get the soup another 35mins for my ordered methi chaman and received kadai paneer and roti the guys who work were very confused and illiterate fellows can't even understand diff between veg and chicken. Instead of my kadai paneer I have got chicken from another table. They were barely 7tables seated and rest were empty they were full of chaos without the manager sairam came sorted us out. Paradise you upset me all the time. I will never ever come and spend my hard earned money in any paradise outlet in the world I would rather prefer road side vendor who would serve me delicious plate of biryani without waiting.
People please don't get fooled by the huge holding and tag lines world favorite biryani. I would say it's the world worst biryani and worst service ever from paradise...
