The Grand Zaayeqa — Restaurant in Telangana

An incredible little find enroute to the Hyderabad airport. With its really great food, friendly staff and quick service, this is a recommended stop when looking to grab a bit before heading to the airport.

Ambience: (3/5) The ambience is just functional and not meant to be much else. There are many tables and could seat 70+ people here so there shouldn’t be too much waiting. We waited for 5 mins and got our table.

Food: (5/5) The food was absolutely brilliant. We reached here around 8:30pm and hence peak dinner time. We started with the tomato soup and Murg Dhania Shorba - both were absolutely brilliant. The Murg Dhania more so. For starters we had french fries, paneer tikka and chicken Angara kebab. The paneer tikka was super soft and beautifully cooked. But the Chicken Angara was by far the best. It was really well spiced and provided such a great kick while eating it. For the vegetarian mains we had Paneer butter masala, Dhal Makani, tandoori roti and curd. They were all brilliant especially the dhal Makani where there was a lot more chilly that usually found in one. It was really really good. The Hyderabad Dum biriyani was also really well made and managed to really touch the right notes while eating it.

Pathetic service. Buffet is a scam. They try to upsell you their buffet with specific items such as Haleem and Paya (Weekend Buffet) but here is how their scam works

Slower than usual service on the table. They would promise you on-the-table servings of Haleem and Paya but the quality would depreciate after each serving. First they serve you mutton haleem and then they start the scam of serving sub standard portions of chicken haleem without ghee

Cold food served since the beginning of the buffet timing that is 8 pm. Everything will be cold as they do not have burners to keep food warm. Don't you dare ask for warm food, they will microwave the same food over and over again

Stale food was served in the form of fried rice right beside the sweet section. Anyone passing by can easily get distracted by the stench of stale chinese food

Welcome drink was so unwelcoming. It was served at the end of buffet and was a dilute concoction of low grade strawberry squash

Mutton biryani had literally no mutton in it and was just biryani rice

Paid premium price for absolute disappointment!

Avoid this place as the management wasn't sorry for our experience. I repeat, this place is a scam, tourist trap...

A place with great ambiance and also serves great food. It is an excellent place, serving good North Indian, South Indian & Chinese cuisine. It is located in madhura nagar shamshabad. They had nice arrangements for small groups in side the main dining area. There’s plenty of choice of food. Hyderabad murgh dum biryani a pearl rice well cooked with selected pieces of chicken with chef's own blend of spices with raita and salan & topped with boiled egg. The biryani was so yummy and they made with all authentic spices and hygienic too which provides very good taste to any kind of biryani they serve. Quantity was ample for one person.
