Hello all,
I just ordered French fries from Amar Punjab on swiggy, and they were soggy, lacked crispness needed in those perfect French fries. Also, they were fried into the same oil after frying papad and hence had black spots on it (no good quality oil was used). They are mostly burnt.
After this bad experience, I was unable to eat Amar punjab fries, and I immediately ordered French fries from The Food Town, and I was amazed by the significant difference listed below:
Amar punjab packaging is absolutely cheap, I received the French fries in a plastic white theli 😂, whereas the Food Town French fries were properly packed in a Swiggy bag first with the label of The Food Town on the bag as well as on the French fries containing box.
Amar Punjab French fries were soggy, cooked in a cheap quality oil, and were oily. The Food Town French fries were properly fried in good oil and tasted a perfect 100
I bought the Amar Punjab French fries for 270INR, whereas The Food Town French fries cost me only 120INR (with offers and coupons)
After I finished eating, I called both restaurants to give my honest feedback, and the Amar Punjab owner shouted at me, with rudeness in every word (as proof you can see some reviews down were the owner is teaching customers and not accepting their mistake) so they lack communication skills as well. The Food Town owner was polite and offered me an additional 10% discount coupon on the next buy, and the person won my heart. I would rate communication skills a 1000 on 100.
I would not recommend Amar Punjab because they are charging too high prices for the packaging, quality provided. Please visit The Food Town, it is top...

The ambience was beautifully done with new interior decor that created an elegant and comfortable atmosphere to relax in. We all felt welcomed and comfortable immediately.
As we perused the menu, it was evident that the restaurant had a vast selection of both Indian and Chinese dishes. We ordered an assortment of items, and each dish was exquisite, with mouth-watering flavors and perfectly cooked meat. The portions were also very generous, making it a great value for the price. The restaurant staff was very prompt and efficient, making sure our needs were met, and we had a great dining experience.
The new interior was also impressive. The elegant and modern decor gave the space a sophisticated vibe that made it a perfect location for a business dinner, a family gathering or a casual meal with friends. Read moreI was at Amar Punjab last week for dinner as it's always been popular among my colleagues too. The accessibility is a bit of a challenge as one has to make his way up thru a narrow flight of stairs which is the only option. The ambience was peaceful as it was empty maybe because it was a week day. I can call it clean, tidy and we'll set with dim lights and good music. The staff was extremely well behaved and always had an eye for anything needed. In terms of service, it was Impressive! The menu was precise and had a great selection of veg and non veg, mock tails, desserts etc. which made it easy to place the order. We ordered mocktails, prawns tikka, chicken spring rolls, for starters and drinks. Butter chicken with butter naan and butter garlic naan for the main course. The mocktails were great which is not the scenario in most places in comparison. The prawns tikka was well made. Juicy and well seasoned. The spring rolls were amazing and maybe the best I have had in recent times in terms of portion and taste. The main course over all was amazing. The rotis were soft and the butter chicken was flavourful, well spiced and was exactly how it had to be made with tender chicken and rich with butter. Absolute value for money and no regrets with experimenting this place. Certainly deserves another visit sometime. Highly recommended for a team outing with colleagues or a family...
