Amar Fast Food & Restaurant — Restaurant in Thane

Glad that Amar has put up its culinary experience to offer in Thane since I’m a big fan of the franchise which has an iconic joint in Irla (Near Alpha) serving lip smacking Pav Bhaji & refreshing juices.

Apart from their iconic flavourful Pav Bhaji, their menu is quite extensive and has some noteworthy items:

1. Pav Bhaji (🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟):

One of the best in the town, superb balance of flavours and no artificial colour added.

2. Paneer 65 (🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟):

A well crafted hidden gem in menu. This needs to be coupled with Noodles or Rice or both since it is perfect Indo-Chinese fusion which will absolutely take your taste buds for a ride

3. Hot pot rice - Vegetable (🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟):

Another banger in their menu, it has this lovely gravy balancing the freshly cooked vegetables and rice along with soothing flavours of ginger and garlic. This is a crazy combination if you want to embrace yourself in the old fashioned way of having rice with gravy. It has a bunch of exotic vegetables like Broccoli, Bell peppers etc.

4. Kulfi Falooda (🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟):

One of the best Falooda there is to offer. It is not overpowering sweet & has fresh Malai Kulfi & a scoop of Vanilla. My word, even though I am a Chocolate ice cream fan, this Falooda blows all the others out...

We picked up Medu vadas for breakfast today and they were cold and sour, which means obviously they were stale! We had them within 5 min of pick up so they shouldn't be cold! Hadn't expected this quality from Amar as they are an Udipi restaurant where we obviously expect the food to be freshly prepared to order. When I called to raise the issue at the restaurant, the person on line inspite of apologising kept on arguing that they were fresh and said that they are supposed to be sour. I explained to him that we were not having Medu vadas for the first time and we know how they should taste but he was not ready to listen. This experience was so bad that it has put me off Medu wadas for a while. But would definitely order from Mani's or Thambi next time, never again from Amar Fast Food! P.S. Their chutney and sambar were also not...

It’s famous for special juices. Last Sunday morning I tried masala dosa and seasonal mango milkshake. Nice taste.
