Read moreBuffets and Brunches are the way to go when you are looking forward to having a fun time with your fully loaded meals. By far, we have had very few go-to options, almost countable when it comes to pure brunch places. However, a new surprise came to us in the form of this fully loaded restaurant, The Caravan Menu. As their name suggests, they literally serve a caravan of food at their buffet. They have a variety of dishes which spreads widely across a range of cuisines. As diverse as the cuisine is, the ambience is equally grand, simplistic, and classy. We were welcomed with their starters which consisted of a lot of barbeque dishes. These were just the starters. They have a live counter for almost everything. Right from chat, pizzas, biryani to pastas and more, they had an answer to each of your craving. We started off with the jerk cottage cheese. Spicy marination covered the soft cottage cheese making it juicy as well as delicious. The cheesy potato skin was next in queue. It was filling and cheesy as well as loaded with the tartness of baby potatoes. The cheese garlic mushroom was the best of these dishes. The mushrooms were loaded with chopped up stuffing and they had an essential taste of garlic to them. They blended in unison to create a perfect sync in our mouth. Dahi ke kebab were cheesy and spicy too. They were soft and gooey. Their centres were delicious and the touch of spice made them even better. The schezwan crispy had a sweet and spicy sauce with a proper amount of crisp texture to it. Their starters were amazing and we just couldn’t get enough of them. However, we took a walk around their live counters and tried a few things here and there. Meanwhile, we were hooked onto their cheesy pasta from one of these counters. They even serve mocktails with this package. Be it their lasagna or the maa ki daal, they indeed have a penchant for perfection with each of these. It was a total delight in the true sense. The meal doesn’t exhaust itself here. They have a list of desserts to suit all the nationalities in you. The sweet mini gulab jamuns, the warm and gooey walnut brownie, the hard hitting tiramisu and for those who like it simple, fresh cut fruits. We went gaga over the meal and it just couldn't be explained how full we were. In case you are thinking that it will empty your pockets as much as it will fill your stomachs, you are wrong. All of this comes in a single package of 600 bucks only! It is a deal which couldn’t get better. Rest assured, if you really want to fulfil the foodie in you, then hog down as much as you can, because this one definitely is an endless feast!
Ambience: 4.5/5 Taste Quotient:...
Read moreI visited this restaurant during the bengali food festival. There is wide variety of food available. I was hosting family lunch here and my dining experience was not so good will come to that point later.
The food was good and wide variety was available in starters both in veg and non veg. Few of my family members were veg and they really enjoyed the starters. Main course option were limited as compared to other buffet options in city but considering wide variety of starter I would say it was good.
The other highlights were live counter which compensate the limited variety options. Chat, pastas, jelibi were the options. The deserts were too good and with wide variety as well. I personally had more desert than the main course and really enjoyed it.
Coming to the ambience, it was good and after evening they have since outdoor sitting. Staff members were attentive and that was one of the main reason I went here for family lunch. There was a dance performance by the staff members. Some photogenic booths they have created kudos for that as well. Also they provide valet parking.
Now after highlighting above good points you must be thinking why I have rated 2 stars? Well before making the reservation I googled about this restaurant and everywhere I saw dinning time as 12pm to 4pm (on google/eatigo), 12pm to 3.30pm (zomato/dineout). I made my bookings through dineout a week before dinning even called and confirmed my booking TWICE.
When I went, the receptionist said our check out time was 2:30pm, I argued with him then why didn't they informed this before. All the online booking options mentioned atleast 1hr more than what he saying.
If this is the case they should update the booking options they provide with correct information.
Since I already planned with family of 14, I had no option. But felt really cheated.
Also at 2.30 their staff guy came and I was not at the table, he said that our time was up to my NRI GUEST which was really bad at that time I felt it was a mistake coming here. I did all the talking right from booking with the manager even at restaurant and that's what I not expect.
If anyone from restaurant is reading this 2 things to learn for you and then you will definitely get 4/5 ratings easily.
By any chance if you are reading this till here and it helps consider hitting the like button it...
