Easily the worst place in the category.

The Malvani Cuisine is typically much in demand in Thane City. There's a list of well established places already but we decided to try this new kid on the block.. and sorry to say, we were disgusted.

We ordered Surmai Thali and Kombdi Vade Thali; two of the most iconic Malvani dishes in Malvani Cuisine.

The chicken was chewy and not studied in the gravy at all. One felt like eating un-marinated steamed chicken. The gravy was watery!! How can chicken gravy be so watery in Malvani cooking!? Vade are typically to die for speciality, but here they were anything but ‘Khamang’. There was a tiny portion of chicken in thick gravy which was hinting a distant relation with Malvani preperation.

The freshness of Surmai was saving grace but being nothing much to talk about the fried Surmai. The prawn curry had literally 3 pieces of prawn!! When we brought it to the notice of captain he said that's all that you get.. 3 pieces of prawn!!! We were speechless.

Coming to service.. the captain took 10 minutes to come and take our order and served it in the next 5 minutes. Clearly the Surmai fry was kept ready!! When we asked for tissue paper.. the waiter literally brought a bunch of them and kept it on the table just like that.. I expect much better service than this.

Ambience is not bad, but not really tastefully done. For the given price point, there's a flock of other places serving better Malvani goodies.

Malvani Cuisine will typically leave a flavourful scent on your hands for hours after eating but here there's no lingering aftertaste even in mouth let alone hands. I would strongly request patrons to stay away from this place and save...

Extremely disappointing experience – poor service, rude staff, and bland food

I decided to try this place after seeing some positive reviews on Google, but it now seems like those might have been paid or misleading.

Starting with the ambience inside – it was dull and uninviting. The cleanliness was appalling, with tissues and empty water bottles lying under the table, which immediately set a bad tone.

We ordered two thalis: one mutton and one fish. The mutton thali came with just four tiny pieces, three of which were mostly bone, barely leaving anything edible. When I raised this concern with the manager, he initially agreed to provide two more pieces. However, after a wait, he returned to inform us that more mutton was being cooked and it would take longer, so I opted for chicken instead.

Trying to provide constructive feedback, I approached another manager. He dismissed the issue entirely and said they can’t offer more quantity at that price – which is absurd considering the thali cost.

To make matters worse, the rest of the thali was bland. The solkadhi tasted like plain kokum water, lacking any flavor. The mutton sukka was tasteless. The only saving grace was the wade, which were decent.

Overall, I’d strongly recommend skipping this place. There are much better restaurants nearby that serve tasty food with better service and...

The fish was stale / prawns are from farming the price is also about 40 % higher considering other vicinity restaurants having far better taste than this restaurant.

Modak were prepared without jaggery and the cover was so thick !!! While eating this I felt I was in some north indian restaurant!! This is certainly not at all malvani restaurant!!!

Fish curry was tasteless , 400 rs for 5 small bombil piece is one of the disaster !!! There was no justification for this potion as the taste and preparation is also very standard , no any specific five star preparation.

This place seems do not serve the fresh fish and everything smells refrigerated for more than a week time .

The kombadi vade thali was only the plus point considering the portion and taste of curry and sukha chicken was good . Again piece of chicken are not marinated well and while eating it was chewy and simply boiled piece dipped in curry .

No wonder very soon this place will be discarded and shut down .

Simply ignore all paid reviews and fukat influencer’s and avoid this place .
