Burger King — Restaurant in Thane

I haven't seen ANY international food chain outlet being so RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL.

I wanted crispy veg burger. The lady on counter said - We have it but you HAVE to take MEAL. Or else it's not available (only burger is not available. You have to make it a MEAL to have it). I said no, then let it be. I don't want it as I don't want to eat meal.

I ordered REGULAR chicken whopper meal for someone with me, WITHOUT any extra toppings.

I asked for bill but the lady REFUSED to give it.

She charged 500 rupees for 1 REGULAR chicken whopper meal which costs 199 on their menu. Which was right in front of me.

I gave 500 rupees without questioning her much as I didn't want to make a scene in front of someone who was with me.

I went to collect the order after 5 minutes. She said it's MEDIUM combo. As they don't sell Regular combo anymore. I looked for Medium combo cost, it was Rupees 219/- on menu. Let's calculate with SGST + CGST + TOTAL TAX which was making it Rupees 266/- INR

Then I went back to counter and called for manager as they REFUSED to give me bill of order. She said, he is not available. Talk to me. I said give me the bill right now. I need it. The. After 2-3 minutes she gave the bill. 1 regular chicken whopper, she had added EXTRA TOPPINGS of 150 rupees without me asking for it. I didn't have much strength to fight as I was already tired due to personal stressful things...So I walked away. I still have the bill.

See the attached receipt. Medium Pepsi??? EXTRA cheese??? Fries??? Where the hell all things came from???

It's NOT about money. It's about not being genuine to the job. I will DRAG this outlet and especially that lady who did such things purposely to the consumer court, periodt. No matter even if I have to spend thousands. Stop this fooling game.🤬

Even the old uncle who was placing the order beside me, was charged stupidly and I KNEW THEY ARE FOOLING HIM ALSO.

I need action on this KORUM BURGER KING outlet. They are FOOLING customers...

The usual Burger fare

Burger King is a US multinational and a competitor to McDonald's.

The burger remains one of the cheapest branded fast foods in the country, with the entry level price point being as low as Rs 40 for both Burger King and Mac.

Burger King has an ongoing offer of 2 burgers for Rs59 plus taxes. It is a mass market product. However, BK offers a fairly wide menu of burgers with various combinations.

We found the burger patty at BK somewhat spicier than the one at McD's. However, overall taste is okay. What beats me is why they add such longish slices of onion in the burger (see accompanying pic). It is virtually impossible to eat such a long slice at one go. I hope the management addresses this issue.

The vanilla ice cream cone is however quite good. We found the vanilla ice cream quite tastier and superior to that of other leading brands like Kwality Walls and Amul.

The Korum Mall store has 3 cash counters. However not all are manned always. At times a queue builds up, and one may have to wait. During our visit, we were in the queue for almost 10 minutes, which was quite frustrating. Of course, the delivery was very fast, as always.

While product taste is okay, I believe the store has to ensure that all cash counters are open during the rush hour so that customers do not have to wait in the queue for a long time.

Update: I had bought certain items at BK during my last visit, participated in the online feedback survey, and generated the requisite codes for availing a 10% discount as promised on the website. However, when I tried to avail the discount at the store today, the store cashier told me that the discount is applicable on invoices above Rs100 only. I do not believe this was mentioned on the website. Hopefully the company can clarify. Also the attitude of the cashier was not quite friendly. If the company intends to offer a discount, it should educate its staff not to frown on customers who wish to avail...

Burger King at Korum Mall Thane is a big cheating franchise. They have a good ambience with a good decore. They have decent pictures of the burgers on their menu cards which will tempt you to order for costliest one but when you receive the burger there will be a huge disappointment. We had ordered their Chicken Makhani Burst Burger which was costing 70 rupees plus GST alongwith Big Smoky Grill Chicken Burger which was costing 149 rupees plus GST. Both the items were super flop and we felt like absolutely cheated. For the Chicken Makhani Burst they had just put a chicken patty in the burger bread with only two pieces of onion slices (no full slice of onion... Only pieces of the slices) that's it. And for Big Smoky Grill Chicken Burger they had put a grilled chicken patty along with some lettuce leaves and again some pieces of onion slices and topped with mayonnaise. That's it. In the pictures they show slices of tomatoes, slices of onions, overflowing lettuce leaves and a big thick chicken patty in a very soft bread but what you get in real is a big nonsense thing. Literally they prove us a big fool by selling these kind of burgers. They are not Burger King..... They are Cheater King !! I would not suggest this place to anyone to...
