We dined in there for dinner with my family very recently.. We had a terrible experience and this situation must not be faced by any other customer there...The only positive thing is their ambience and interior work.. the other stuffs like furniture maintenance, staff hospitality and service, have to be taken care soon by the management... I am writing this review with the heavy heart because of their pathetic hospitality received from the restaurant management. They had kept a damaged/defective chair in the dining area and one of the customers requested them to change it. But instead of changing it they kept it in our place without informing us. Unfortunately my father who sat on it and fell down suddenly as one of the legs of the chair got broken. My dad got hurt on his knee and elbow..The worst case is that neither did they inform about this to us for not replacing the chair properly nor the manager apologised in a convincing manner. Just imagine the situation if an aged or hefty person sat on that chair, or anyone with a kid. Actually my dad had my son a few mins before this happened.. Fortunately my two years old son got escaped from this accident, otherwise this situation would hav been gone worse. All this happened during the peak hours when many families were dining.
This is the level of maintenance they have in their restaurant which had been started a few months back. Though the taste was good, the pricing of the food items were bit expensive. The quantity was less when compared to their pricing.. there were houseflies and mosquitos flying around the dishes.
The management should take care of this situation and ensure that this never happens again with any of the...
Read moreWonderful experience we had in Masala Door, went for a good nice dinner. Started with fritters (papads) with dip as a compliment. It was presented well and I didn't find it in other restaurants in Trichy.
Mushroom Cappuccino soup was an unexpected flavor found here, served in a frothing pitcher which was a nice idea and looked cool, added with a toasted mini baguette. Peri peri fries are flavorful and the cheesy dip was spicy and good. Kothu idiyappam was good, but it would have been better if it had been grainy, it tasted best. Italian fusion is at its best. The spaghetti is cooked well and the "ratatouille arrabbiata" is one of the best in town. "Pistachio Basil" is a must-try. Creamy and saucy, even the left out was better with fries as a dip and all the dishes are served with mini toasted baguette. Flavors are well-balanced and mildly aromatic with reasonable quantity for average eaters and poor eaters. Blueberry Lassi was awesome and the classic mojito is cool as it in is its way.
Must say is their Ambiance. It's nicely designed and themed. Best for family, couples, and family gatherings. Interior designs are best and wisely decorated and it makes it feel like a gourmet restaurant.
Service is so fast that it can be slowed down and give a pause in between dishes. Street parking is okay and needs more space.
To be mentioned, Chef. Ilayaraja is doing awesome lineups on the menu and Mr. Antony's service is warm and good. Teamwork is good 👍 As they name it Artisanal, it fulfills.
Good way to go and surely you will reach heights.
Always experience in your way and never come through Food Vloggers and their hyped videos. This "Masala Door" is...

Parotta salana - 2 coin size parotta pls rename the dish as coin parotta okayish salna
Podi dosai - soggy dosai again not hot and crispy, sambar tasted bad, chutneys were okay
Coconut pannacota icecream - pannacota was good icecream was just frozen milk with huge chunk of icecream not recommended
Idliy - 3 piece idly with sambar and chutney and gothsu, super soft idly and accompaniments were ok
Service - hasty, no Cutlery or tissues available on the table had to ask several times. Ac is scanty cushions of the metal sofas has to be redone.
Wouldn't go there next time don't want to waste my time and money
Good resto if you want to dine peacefully a must visit place. Limited menu, food is prepared after we order hence has a freshness, it's light on the tummy. Portion size is good. It's a vegetarian restaurant. Hope they introduce more items on their menu and keepup their standards of quality, quantity, cleanliness, hospitality. Special metion the cutleries were clean and we need not keep asking them for extra spoons and fork a bunch of it is placed...
