Ammikal Cantonment Non Veg Hotel — Restaurant in Tiruchirappalli

I have been to Ammikal Restaurant for Sunday Lunch along with my family. I wish to detail things I faced.

1. It was crowded which is good, but no place for privacy. In total ambiance is zero, sounded like a fish market.

2. We placed the order following items we ordered, Mutton Biryani, Non-Veg Meals, Mutton Sukka & Mutton Keema balls.

Mutton Biryani - Less Qty, tasteless, and no spicy. The rate was 210 waste of money. They bought Raita and Dalcha after 10 mins.

Mutton Keema Balls - I never ever had tasted such a worse one. Spoiled one.

Mutton Sukka - Good but again spicy totally less.

Non-Veg Meals - A better one for its rate of 120. The items they kept were less spicy including thoku.

3. Deserts was the one thing that attracted me to taste in this restaurant. But it wasn't available such a disappointing factor.

4. Service was very poor. But nothing to blame the people who are serving. They are good, but hotel management needs to allot good man source to manage the service properly.

5. I have been to n number of Non-Veg Restaurants they all serve starters at the first place than the main course. We completed the main course then the starters provided (haha)

In the total waste of money and time. It was disappointing for my family. It's for other people to alert please be aware to go there along with family.

To the hotel management please improve the things I faced and moreover for a Non-Veg Restaurant spicy is very important. I understand, but please ask while ordering and provide according to their...

//Edited- Owner replied that Gulf style, will Gulf style will have only few pieces of meat and more veggies in shawarma??? If so that has to be in menu. That fish is definitely not worth for 280. We don't have copy or photo of bill. But definitely eating in this restaurant is not worth the money, and poor hospitality in hotel and just replying online does not make any sense. Top notch is the owner have given below number to send bill which is not present in whatsapp and not an active number. Never believe this restaurant.//

Worst experience ever in Trichy so far. We wanted to try this new restaurant Ammikkal. But I would never like to visit again. Don't order Plate charcoal shawarma here. Only few pieces of meat with uncooked kuboos. Even roadside shops will have meat more than this. Then we ordered fish which was priced around 280.rs which they have cut the fish into half and kept as same side to showcase as big fish. Half of the fish was just shells. Definitely not worthy. And our next disappointment was Kudumi mutton parotta. Parotta was dry and just one piece with little gravy between parottas accompanied with a gravy tasted like veg kuruma. We could not accept that and on the spot we asked the person who took order, then he informed Manager. Then he came to us and said we are serving everyone the same way. Will never recommend this place for those who wants to eat...

This review is to share our disappointment.. I went there for lunch along with my wife.. As it was a Sunday, it was heavily crowded.. But we got a table after waiting for some 10 mins.. So far so good.. We ordered Fish fry, Mutton chukka, Mutton kola balls,chicken briyani and Elaneer payasam.. The wait time was also not an issue as they had served the dishes within 10 mins.. The waiter's response was also professional.. Nothing to complain there.. Coming to the dishes, 1.Kola balls were ok but not juicy as expected. They were dry. First hit. Fish fry was cooked well. But the thing is you have to wash it till the smell goes off..Or else it just masks the actual taste of the fish and makes it bad..Second hit. Mutton chukka.. THE WORST OF ALL.. there was nothing chettinad in it.. The mutton i think belong to the previous day batch as it tasted STALE.. The spices and the flavors in it were not upto the mark.. ABSOLUTE GARBAGE OF A DISH.. Elaneer payasam is just Elaichi water.. The Elaneer part was subdued by the excess elaichi and payasam part was just plain milk.. The only solace is the briyani which was well cooked..

Price is reasonable..
