A Beautiful Anniversary Breakfast at Clarks Awadh â Birendra Mahal | 26 April 2025
We celebrated our anniversary with a truly special breakfast at Birendra Mahal, and it was an experience to remember. The setting was elegant, the hospitality heartfelt, and the foodâabsolutely outstanding.
Though Ms. Kamini wasnât present, her thoughtful arrangements spoke volumes. Her team was attentive, gracious, and ensured every little detail was taken care of, making us feel pampered and welcomed on our special day.
The buffet was a grand affair. The Indian section featured everything from fresh parathas and poori sabzi to South Indian delights like idli, vada, dosa, appe, and upmaâall cooked to perfection and served hot.
The Continental spread was just as impressive with baked beans, sautéed exotic veggies, chicken sausages, a beautiful cheese platter, fresh salads, and a cold buffet. The live omelette station added a personal touch, while muesli and other light options rounded it off nicely.
The bakery corner was a feast in itselfâcroissants, donuts, tea cakes, cupcakesâeach bite a delight. We sipped on fresh juices (orange and watermelon), enjoyed both hot and cold coffee, lassi, and of course, the freshness of exotic fruits.
It was a morning filled with warmth, flavor, and quiet luxuryâexactly how we hoped to begin our anniversary. A big thank you to Ms. Kamini and the entire Birendra Mahal team for making it...

The chicken Manchow soup had a terrible smell, and the veg Manchow soup tasted strongly of vegetable oil. We had to return them.
As for the food, nothing was good. We ordered chilli chicken dry and veg kebabs. The chicken was clearly staleâthey had just deep-fried it again and overloaded it with spices to mask the taste, but we could still tell. The veg kebabs were the only decent item.
For the main course, we ordered both mutton and chicken dishes, and they were absolutely terrible. The curry was bland and tasteless, and once again, the meat was stale. The veg main course was okay, but my biggest issue with this place is how overpriced it isâwe paid âč13,000 for six people, ordered very little food, and yet everything was awful.
To top it off, the service was poor despite having plenty of staff around. Overall...
Read moreBirendra Mahal is a new addition to Clarkâs Awadh hotel and is simply beautiful and exquisite. The ornate halls, gigantic curtains and magnificent pillars add to the beauty of the place. The fountains and the criss cross stairs complete its looks. The beauty of the ambience has to be seen to be believed. The staff is professional and alert. The cleanliness and hygiene is top notch. Buffet and a-la-cart both options are there. The starters are very few (3 veg and 3 non-veg), but they taste good. The melt in the mouth kebabs are delicious. The main course has indian and continental dishes but they all are just decent and not up to the mark. The deserts are good but the variety is lacking. Can visit again for the ambience but not...
