Thought that my earlier review would have woken up the sleeping persons who have taken the Franchise of Burger King in Astley Hall. Alas! They are still sleeping and are not bothered about their customers. The employees seem to be engaged in friendly banter or flirting with each other and the customer be damned. Today 29 03 22 at around 11 30 am we visited the Astley Hall Burger King. There were only 2 customers at that time.
The Burger Bun was dry, flaky, stale, crumbly and cold. It was so crumbly that it was breaking in pieces even at packing time. The Burger Patty or tikki was stone cold and hard. Possibly they had taken it out of cold storage. They seem to have run out of sauce as there was no sauce or mayonnaise on the Burger and it was completely dry and inedible. The French Fries were cold rubbery and unchewable.
We rue and regret entering this third rate franchisee of Burger King. A more appropriate name would be Stale Food King.
We have decided that whenever we want to punish anyone in the Family, we will send them to Burger King.
A most customer unfriendly place serving stale fast food. We will never visit Burger King again. Visit at your own risk.
Earlier Review
We were the first customers today at Astley Hall Burger King and the only customer at that time. It took the lady at the counter and her male companion more than 15 minutes to serve a solitary order of Whopper Lite and French fries. They were more interested in their banter (small talk) than in serving the customer. The bun used in the burger was substandard, dry and hard. Has Burger King fallen on very bad days that they are using stale ingredients? Poorly trained sloppy staff. Stale ingredients not discarded but sold to unsuspecting customers. A substandard fast food outlet...

Read moreBurger King (BK) is an American-based multinational chain of hamburger fast food restaurants. Headquartered in Miami-Dade County, Florida, the company was founded in 1953 as Insta-Burger King, a Jacksonville, Florida–based restaurant chain. After Insta-Burger King ran into financial difficulties in 1954, its two Miami-based franchisees David Edgerton (1927–2018) and James Mc Lamore (1926–1996) purchased the company and renamed it "Burger King". Good and fast service on a weekend that wasn't crowded. Meal ready in under 7 mins. The interiors are well done. Seating is available upstairs only and hence cannot be an option for those who are differently-abled. The view of the mall from the dining upstairs is a near full view. The service was reasonably fast, and the staff were helpful and kind. The food however, was a letdown. The chutney inside the burger didn't taste good and did not fit with the overall taste of the burger. The fries were warm and still crunchy. The chocolate lava cake was a huge letdown. The portion was small and it didn't taste veey good. I think they have the potential to do great but the execution...
