Ira's Kitchen and Tearoom is named after little Ira . Run by her mother Gautami , this is a hidden gem in Rishikesh . Just 400m uphill from the main road at Tapovan , this is a beautiful little cafe and kitchen , situated amidst a beautiful garden . Apart from the usual fauna , I was surprised to see palm trees here , as you dont find them much in Rishikesh . The cafe has both in garden sitting as well as verandah sitting . We decided sit in nature's lap and headed toward the wooden benches and table placed in the garden . Having gone for brunch , we decided to start our meals with natural juices . We ordered a fresh watermelon juice and a Carrot juice , which actually was ABC juice ( Apple , Beetroot , Carrot ) topped with ginger juice . Both the juices were very refreshing and we just couldn't get over the freshness of both the drinks . For meals , we decided to have a veg cheese Chilla and tomato onion omelete . The order took about 20 mins to be prepared . Though Chilla was slightly burnt , but the plethora of fresh veggies like capsicum , mushrooms , spinach , onions , tomatoes roasted to a bare minimum and topped with cheese , added to the texture of chilla in a way that made us just droll over it . The chilla was beyond our expectations and I can safely say that it was the best I ever had . The omlette had roasted onions and tomatoes ontop of it and had fairly simple texture , which is how I like my eggs to be . The cost of these 2 dishes along with juices was approx 600₹ . I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quite peaceful place to have some awesome food and willing to be...

Visited this place in the early January-2023, on my workation trip, spend almost a day working from this place and meeting the awesome people there.
The place is located in the upper Tapovan Area which makes it absolutely beautiful, it's located between trees and is on top of the hill so the views from this place are awesome.
Tired the following food/beverages: Masala Chai - Totally worth it, instead of sugar packets, they provide jaggery which I think is the best. Totally recommended Masala Khichdi - Was working from there so I decided to keep it light, the khichdi tasted awesome Rose-Ilaichi Tea - As the day passed, decided to end the day on a refreshing note with this awesome herbal tea, totally refreshing

Other than this the food is good, the setting is beautiful, you can have a great eating experience. I just believe its a case of not being able to manage the unexpected rush of people who are reaching here looking at the Google ratings. Overall a good place to be and relish home style food in a pleasant seating amongst tall trees. We ordered batata Vada (aaloo bonda) poha orange juice and masala chai. All tasted super and portion size was good.
Be here if you are in no hurry and are willing to wait. We saw several guests leave (some encouraged to leave by the...
