I highly recommend this place. They run a highly professional operation with excellent, respectful and caring guides. You are paying for a personalised experience that you will not find in a large tour group. I went on the Chopta/Tungnath trip and had the most wonderful experience. The mountains are so beautiful, I cannot explain. I, 26M, shared the trip with a mum and daughter aged 66 and 31, 2 guides and a driver also accompanied us. The company only takes a max group size of 4 which creates a intimate atmosphere where everyone’s needs can be met. The driver was excellent and I felt remarkably safe as he navigated us through the mountain roads. The mum of the family, struggled with some of the inclines and long distance at altitude but with 2 guides for 3 of us we had the liberty to each explore at our own pace, something that would not have been possible in a big tour group. Also, the care and attention with which Ankush, our primary guide, took care of her was really special. He was so patient, took care of all her needs and guided her through like it was his own mother. He would take food and chai to her room when she was feeling unwell. He looked after all of us with the utmost care throughout the entirety of the trip. A special mention for Dhamander whose good energy and laughter made the journey easy. Here’s a quick summary of this trip: Day 1: drive to sari village with breakfast, lunch and chai breaks on the way. 3km hike up to lake where you’re given very spacious tents with beds and electricity in them. Watch sunset, eat delicious home cooked food. Day 2: breakfast and begin 16km trek along the ridge - so beautiful with all the rhododendrons - packed lunch on the way. Glacial river you can dip in towards the end. You get picked up on the other side and driven a short way to the Homestay. Comfortable room and also very tasty food. Day 3: leave at 3am to hike to temple (3500m) and summit (3678m) for sunrise, it took me 1.5 hours and then others joined an hour or so later. You then have time to explore the temple area and have your packed breakfast before walking back to the village where chai and snacks will be waiting. You then drive back to sari village and have time to rest and chill, eat more good food and explore the village. Homestay here is very comfortable and will be your first opportunity for warm water. Day 4: breakfast and drive back to rishikesh. Like I said, this is a highly professional organisation and nothing is too much trouble. You will be extremely well looked after and will return very happy that you chose Mapping the Himalayas

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 We spent an unforgettable week trekking through the Valley of Flowers and nearby mountain villages with Mapping the Himalayas, and the experience was truly beyond expectations. We were a group of 7, guided by Ankush and Kali — two incredibly kind, friendly, and professional people who felt like part of our group from the very beginning. Their presence created such a beautiful sense of unity and teamwork throughout the journey. Everything was perfectly organized: the transportation, the delicious food every single day, the confortable accommodations, the well-planned activities, and even how they handled different interests or small challenges along the way. They fulfilled every promise — and even surprised us with more! We came back to Rishikesh full of joy, gratitude, and unforgettable memories. If you're thinking about doing a trek in the Himalayas, don’t hesitate — this is the team you want. Truly wonderful people running a top-notch operation. ❤️

Fourth incredible authentic experience with Mapping the Himalayas. This time with our French group of eight yoga students from Rishikesh to Gangotri, Gartang gali, Chamba and Devprayag. From airport pickup through the whole two weeks tour, everything was perfectly organized with comfortable rooms, delicious meals, safe transport, splendid trekking and view points in the Himalayas. Extremely qualified team, taking care of everything we needed, making you feel secure and happy. Magical moments on the banks of the Ganges at Gangotri and highlights with the holy bath at Devprayag, where the sacred Bagirathi and Alaknanda come together to be called Ganga. Truly, an unforgettable trip. No words to express our gratitude to Kalyan, Ankush, Devesh, Sunil and Lalit for their dedication and the high quality service we received. Already meditating on our next trek with you. Take care, Basanti and...
