Nestled amidst the bustling streets of Dehradun lies Kalsang Cafe, a quaint haven exuding an inviting warmth. As I stepped inside, the air was filled with the tantalizing aroma of Tibetan spices, instantly whetting my appetite. The cozy interior, adorned with traditional decor, offered a serene retreat from the city's hustle. 🏞️🍽️
The menu boasted an array of tantalizing options, but it was the promise of authentic Tibetan flavors that drew me in. I opted for their signature dish – the steaming hot momos. Each delicate dumpling, filled with a flavorful blend of herbs and meats, was a burst of savory delight. Accompanied by their homemade dipping sauce, the momos were simply exquisite. 🥟🌶️
The attentive staff added to the charm of this culinary gem, offering recommendations and ensuring a delightful dining experience. Despite the bustling nature of the cafe, the service remained prompt and welcoming throughout. 👌👩🍳
In essence, Kalsang Cafe surpassed my expectations, delivering not just a meal but an immersive cultural experience. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking a taste of authentic Tibetan cuisine intertwined with a cozy ambiance and impeccable service in...
Read moreWe visited Dehradun from Delhi on a holiday. In the evening, we checked on the best restaurants in Dehradun and decided to go to Kalsang for dinner. First, we ordered soups and snacks. As it was taking a long time to serve soups and snacks, we ordered main course also in the meanwhile so that we could save time. After finishing soups and snacks, we kept on waiting for main course but it did not come. The waiter who took the order kept assuring us that the main course would be served shortly. However, after waiting for more than 30 minutes we finally asked the waiter to check how much it will take. He checked and, to our shock, informed us that the person in the kitchen to whom he gave slip for our order misplaced it and therefore the dishes ordered by us for main course could not be prepared. We our left with no choice but to make payment for the soups and snacks and leave the restaurant without having full meal. When we complained to the Manager he had no answer. He did not offer any apology to us. Due to this, 1st day of our holiday got spoiled. I will never ever try to visit this...

THE REVIEW
Throughout My life this has to be one of the worst food i have ever ate , The noodles were bland and the chicken was uncooked, when i told the waiter he just made an excuse, The fried rice tasted like a bland halwa literally no taste. I left my food ( did not ate bland food ) and the staff also didn't care that clearly shows how much they care and they knew food was trash.
All of the 4-5 Star reviews you will see of this restaurant is probably by mostly people of Dehradun Who haven't tasted food outside of this city and don't know the real taste.
Overall i would recommend you to avoid this restaurant but if you want to waste your money,...
