How to reach this place: This is located near Ultadanga,on the way to Airport just after Ultadanga you have to take the service road on last. There are good signage and ample car parking space.
Ambience : The ambience is really good with good air-conditioning,nice comfortable chairs ,ample space the crowd is good too.
Pricing : Pricing is ok for the ambience.
Food choices : They serve Indian ( Tandoor and North Indian) and Chinese
Service: The waiters are polite, however they are not well trained they avoid eye contact ,I was struggling to get water ,also after having food waited for long before I could grab attention to get me the finger bowl. The finger bowl was served with regular water which defeated the purpose of cleaning your fingers. Also post eating none bothered to get the bill..for over 10 minutes at one point I thought that even if I walk out hardly I would be noticed :-).
Food : Better avoid , I had ordered special Bengal Dhaba butter chicken ,there was simply nothing special ,Also upon asking how many pieces of chicken would be served they were confused and finally agreed upon 4-5 pieces. Finally when I was served it was like 3 1/2 pieces.I asked what is this they changed their statement and now said 200 grams which was never mentioned on the menu. In fact 90% of the items don't have pieces or weight mentioned how you can be assured that you will be taken for a ride . Also I asked for a feedback book ,there was a supervisor dressed in grey suit who promised that it will be shared with me and I told him my plight ,he did not bother to share the feedback book nor follow up post listining to the complaint . Also the chicken pieces were under cooked and upon eating you could feel that they were being stored for quite sometime. Even the Kulcha served was thin and flat ..looked oily and dead kind of .
Billing : It took quite sometime for me to get hold of a waiter to plead for the bill literally and to finally when the bill came they added a service charge ,which obviously meant that the manger or the staff does not have a proper grevience redressal mechanism .
Washroom : Washroom was nicely designed however few of the taps were not working.the design was unique and was in theme of a petrol pump.
Cutlery : Cutlery was nice ,copper glasses and bi metallic plates.
Menu card : The menu card was excessively heavy and bulky ,it looked good but was had an impractical weight. The waiters too felt this as after presenting it to you ..they will never get it close to you.
Overall Verdict : If you want the ambience and want to talk to someone then this an ok choice .. however if you are looking for service and food quality then you have much better...
Read moreStressed-out with the mundane schedule, our wanderer soul often desires to slip into a long drive and halting for a hearty meal at a roadside dhaba. Seldom we get a chance to even drive away from the city to reach the highway joints, however Bengal Dhaba is indeed an outright solution to satiate such cravings.
Nested near the Ultodanga bridge, adjacent to Bika hall, this dhaba is our destination to satiate our ebullient North Indian cravings. The 5009 sqft spacious area with a wide spread view across the road by the wooden swing seaters clubbed with the fushion Panjabi furbishing and captivating quote on brick walls will surely blend your mind with it's jovial ambience.
The sumptuous spread leaves no room for doubt when it comes to the myriad range of mocktails. Well, that brass glass full of thick dri fruit lassi will be indelible if you're a "Lassi Addict" like me. Bengal Dhaba would be an ultimate destination for vegetarians too, primarily for it's majestic and delicious veg spread. Worth mentioning, the cottage cheese they use is a show stopper for it's smooth, creamy texture and the sublime taste. Their non veg kebab platter is a best seller for it's intrinsic care while preparing and that taste lingers on our buds. The biriyani, mutton, prawns, fish, paneer, kheer..... You name it and it's there in it's best form possible.

We visited Bengal Dhaba, Golaghata for dinner recently and tried a variety of dishes. The ambiance was decent for a casual family dinner, and the food was overall satisfying. However, the service experience could definitely be improved.
🍴 What We Ordered:
We had garlic fish, rara chicken, mutton keema muttor, garlic naan, butter naan, and we had ordered egg fried rice—but unfortunately, they served us veg fried rice instead. Although the taste was still fine, such mix-ups should ideally be avoided.
👍 What We Liked:
Food Quality: The dishes, especially garlic fish and rara chicken, were flavorful and well-cooked. The mutton keema muttor was also rich and nicely spiced.
Portions: Quantity was good and sufficient for our group.
Ambiance: Comfortable setup, suitable for family or group dinners.
👎 What Could Be Better:
Service: The staff didn’t serve the food unless asked, and we had to follow up a couple of times. A bit more attentiveness would go a long way.
Order Mix-up: Serving veg fried rice instead of egg fried rice was a small but noticeable oversight.
Service Charge: They added a service charge, which felt a bit unfair given the average service experience.
🌟 Overall:
Bengal Dhaba has the potential to offer a great dining experience with its tasty dishes and reasonable pricing. With a little improvement in staff attentiveness and order accuracy, it could be a much better experience. Despite a few service hiccups, we did...
