Cafe by the Sea, Digha — Restaurant in West Bengal

As I walked into Cafe by the Sea for the seventh time, my heart was filled with anticipation. However, as the experience unravelled, my disappointment grew.

I decided to order the fish fry, as I had heard it was their specialty. Sadly, it was over-fried and had a burnt taste. The crispy chilli baby corn that I ordered was extremely salty, leaving my mouth parched.

Hoping that my next dish would be better, I decided to try their Hakka noodles along with Szechuan fish. As soon as the plate arrived, I could tell that something was off. The fish had not been cooked well and had a pungent odour, and some sides were still raw. I tried to point it out to the chef, hoping he could make amends. Thankfully, the chef understood his mistake and offered to make it again.

The noodles arrived on the table but this time, the portion size was much smaller, leaving me unsatisfied and disappointed. Despite our negative experience, when asked for the bill, we were told it was complimentary. However, that was not the reason we visited Cafe by the Sea. We paid approximately Rs 415, but our hearts remained unsatisfied.

Being a hotelier myself, I understand the importance of delivering an exceptional customer experience, but on this particular visit, it seemed as though the team at Cafe by the Sea failed to deliver. Unfortunately, this will be my last visit to this restaurant, and I hope that they will take this feedback positively to enhance their customer experience...

I went there a big expectations but when i go at first see the cafe.. No inside sitting area aur table's... Ok its fine .. But in the outside only 4 table in place of new digha and one staff do every thing biller, Steward, cheff everything do... And iam order fast then he not making food & drinks food .. He ask me "payment dao" Then he sau sit i choose my table i put my things in floor... Last thing the cold coffee was a copico, chocolate syrup, water & little bit of milk no coffee beans & he says "nescafe coffee ache" And food is very poor dont order pizza in there... They do not have a good pizza the price was too & thins are...

Nice cafe on the beach area. We prefer to take away our food. Cause their seating area is just 2-3 tables. That's why we prefer to take away. But we tried chicken popcorn and some chicken fries. Both are good in taste and the price is also reasonable. The service is a bit slow they cannot keep up with the force. The food overall tasted good. It was a lovely place for photos and some crispy food just in front of the beach. Didn't expect to have such a good place of food in digha. It was a total wonder. Its located in the new digha sea beach market near Mitra cafe....
