Hungry Hippo Laketown — Restaurant in West Bengal

Food is good but I would like to bring this to everyone's attention that the person on cash counter doesn't even know to talk to customers properly....on Sunday we placed order and while paying the bill we made the payment through Zomato gold and informed the restaurant the person started yelling that we don't accept payment via Zomato gold u need to pay us again...so I contacted Zomato gold for the refund and Zomato asked me for the bill copy on asking restaurant about the bill copy they said they don't provide bill copy....then he given the bill writing on the piece of any toored paper.....1st of all if they don't accept payment via Zomato gold why they have kept themselves registered there and secondly they have put sticker if u don't get the bill food is free then why they are not providing any bills to the customer......so this is to everyone please think a lot before entering to such places where you don't get bill as these people are just fooling customers with their rough behaviour...

Today I went there and lost my dear umbrella there given to me by my Late Grandfather which was very important and the one and only in the whole world for me.. the owner was present at the counter he should have noticed it at the table and kept it safe but when I went there in just an hour they told me they didn't find it ... I was shattered and it was painful for me to realise that I have lost an important thing there , I waited there asked everyone about it and finally couldn't held my tears from shedding... I personally request everyone in the shop to Please be attentive and careful because anything normal to you maybe very important for the person who have lost it and I don't want anyone to suffer from the same pain am suffering from that loss...

This review is not about their food , this is about an unfortunate incident that I experienced there today which could have been avoided if the staff there were attentive...

NUMBER ONE CHOR YES YOU HEARD IT RIGHT NUMBER ONE CHOR My issue is if this outlet on zomato gold and i paid the bill via zomato then why they are refusing to accept it. They didn’t provide me the bill copy also as they said that we dont issue the bill. After paid via zomato i had to pay again directly to them via the scanner they gave me. And zomato also refuse to refund the amount as the restaurant is not providing the bill

This is completely ridiculous. How such a restaurant can say that we dont issue...
