DISASTER.!!!!!! Even an One star is not what they actually deserve! Visited this horrible outlet & ordered mutton nihari full, khamiri roti, lime soda..visiting here was my idea & i really regret it for ruining my buddy's meal like that. This particular outlet is in Ecosuite building where in the ground floor Mahek e Punjab is on our regular visit list but today due to Very much shortage of Time, i asked him to visit the kareem's on 1st floor as we see it quite empty always (being regular at ground floor). Oh what a mistake it was being in Kareems. Nihari was completely a watery gravy with 4 piece of bones (just like Dog-pieces) , gravy was bitter, salty & mutton has raw smelly. Khamiri roti was good though. Complained about the quality of nihari to the service boy & he conveyed it to the counter guy. Truly haven't seen any Arrogant, rude restaurant staff ever in our life,he kept arguing about the taste, quality in an adamant, arrogant way. Completely uneducated, uncivilized kind of a guy who could never ever be suited for any restaurant or any front office job. Usually in better restaurants when a guest complains about the quality, either they apologize or sometimes replace the food. He did nothing but kept arguing in such manner that it actually shows why is the outlet EMPTY almost always. Ps - christmas eve or new yr eve when the other food joint on same floor were overcrowded it was almost empty on those evenings too. Now we know the reason & will definitely ask our known ones to avoid this joint. Though park st,Hatibagan outlets are always too good & thanks to them that i know the taste of Nihari. Btw, here the lime soda came when we finished our meal . They have no idea of serving 😬 Ended the meal with a shahi tukda (because we needed to fill our hunger, and had no time to visit another restaurant for filling the tummy).one would definitely forget the taste of shahi tukda once tasted this. HORRIBLE. overall a complete disgusting experienc at kAREEMS NEWTOWN. Well, At any restaurant someday you may get a low quality dish, but the staff behavior or their atttitude helps you to go okay with that but the kind of Rude, rough, arrogance of KARREM NEWTOWN is...

Read moreWe had Mutton Burra, and Mutton Seekh Kebab as starters... both tasted really great... We had Mutton Biryani in the main course, and I would say.... the biryani is okay-ish... it's not like the taste is bad... the taste is good, it's light, but it's kinda different (entirely) from what we eat in other Biryani houses in Kolkata... probably this is the Delhi style Biryani, and we are are not used to it... it's like a decent tasting non spicy tiffin counter biryani (which isn't bad as such... but doesn't really give you the feel of having biryani)... the biryani rice is not very thin, and the taste is fine. It's a kind of biryani which blends in, and doesn't stand out, if compared to other biryanis out there... other than that, it's all okay... staffs are cooperative, food is served really hot, and that's great... Good ambience.. I would rather recommend to try their starter items and kebabs.....
