Went by hearing about their deep dish pizzas , Note: Review from a pure vegetarian’s perspective:- Had-pinacolada,minestrone soup, grand farmhouse, the blazing hot. Minestrone soup- 4/5-good (Rich in exotic veg and has tomato base) Grand farmouse-5/5-excellent (The star dish, excellent taste) Blazing hot deep dish pizza- 1/5-pathetic, Lack of pizza sauce, too much bready and not soft, cottage cheese topping became spongy like rubber and very much tasteless- Dont eat this at all, I personally felt there is no need to try deep dish pizzas if you are dominos guy. Pinacolada-4/5-good, made of coconut milk, Very subtle and unique taste. (i always have virgin mojito , thought of tasting something different and i am sure this is worth it.) My recommendation- take minestrone soup , grand farmhouse and pinacolada.
Ambience excellent, Staff courteous, Typical cafe with premium food. Edit: went again for mum’s bday, They provided a sizeable complimentary chocolate cake for the same. 1)Grand farmhouse: star dish 10/10 Must try 2)wild mushroom poppers: 7.5/10, fine, crispy fried balls with cheese and mushroom, the mushrooms were wet from inside which i didnt like, it would be better if they would serve only cheese balls. 3) veggie extravaganza: wont rate this( it will vary from person to person), see if you are guy who is into masalas, spices more flavours like you get in pizzas of dominos, please dont try this. Their pizzas are like the indian dishes served in 5star hotels(where the flavour, spice is kept less more suiting the foreigners). So it depends . 4)pina colada: good 9/10 5)virgin mojito: 8/10(could be improved, it was not bad but in glook, bbq nation they serve better) 6)chocolate milkshake: 9/10 (best for kids) 7)raspberry lime ricky: 8/10 ( fine, felt more sweet, more taste of berry, less refreshing) 8)apple pie, felt like a cake made of jaggery, it was too sweet, wont recommend this. Special mention: Adarsh , for serving promptly and perfectly.
One more thing i would like to say, There are pizzas in veg section which use parmesan cheese, for pure veg people, please note that parmesan cheese is not veg, most restaurants even dont know, read more over google.
These guys have a really pleasant atmosphere, top class customer service. Should be tried for sure but with ryt dishes. Use zomato to get...
Read moreI recently visited UNO Pizzeria & Grill at City Centre New Town and had the pleasure of indulging in their signature Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. As a pizza enthusiast, I had high expectations, and UNO did not disappoint! The pizza was perfectly baked with a golden, crispy crust and a generous amount of gooey cheese, rich tomato sauce, and toppings that were full of flavor. It was an authentic Chicago-style experience, right here in Kolkata!
In addition to the pizza, I tried a couple of their cocktails, and they were equally impressive. The drinks were well-balanced, refreshing, and complemented the hearty meal beautifully. It’s clear that the bar staff knows their craft.
What made the experience even more enjoyable was the excellent service. A special mention to Aditi, who attended to us with warmth and professionalism. She was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, which made our dining experience smooth and pleasant. Her recommendations, especially for the cocktails, were spot-on!
Overall, UNO Pizzeria & Grill at City Centre New Town offers not just great food but also a welcoming atmosphere and top-notch service. I highly recommend visiting, especially if you're a fan of deep-dish pizza. Will definitely be...
Read moreThis place opened up beside City Centre 2's food court just a few months ago, and boyyy, am I pleased that it did! The seating is super comfortable and the lighting is really soothing. The décor pays homage to the Chicago basketball team and Kolkata's original band party. I started off with a Moonriver, perfectly sweet and foamy; I really liked the elder flower and pineapple juice combined with gin. The Gin Tea Sling caught my eye as well, I think it's the first time I had gin with tea. Mixed with Blackberry syrup it made for a perfect follow-up. I finished up with a Chicago Bramble. Served in a hammered copper mug and garnished with basil leaves, the cordial hit it off perfectly with the gin. The Wild Wild West Burger was absolutely delicious. You can enjoy both minced meat and crispy patties, along with a phenomenal cheese layer and BBQ sauce. The fries served with it are great too, but I'm not sure about the salsa dip. The Big Daddy Lamb Meatballs were kind of disappointing at the end though, they were too less in quantity and a bit hard to chew. I went there on a Sunday evening and the crowd was decent. I'd recommend taking friends to this place, the meal options...
