Traffic Gastropub — Restaurant in West Bengal

Location: Traffic Gastropub is located in the 2nd floor of City Centre 2 building. You can easily reach CC2 from Chinar Park or Biswa Bangla Gate by catching an auto or a bus.

Ambience: As the name suggests, the place resembles a busy traffic signal. The bar tenders are dressed in Khaki Wardi and the place is decorated in a typical corporate look. Overall the amibience is soothing and you can expect to have a great experince with your friends over there. Happy hours are available from 12 AM to 5 PM everyday where the drinks are priced at a very economical rates. Smoking area available along with live sports screening.

Food Review:

Well, along with the series of Food, I was really lucky to have their special cocktail menu which is World Cup Special LIIT. It was priced at 499/- only where you can claim your huge cocktail Testube resembling your favourite World Cub Team. Our group had the following ones from the available options:

i. Bleed Blue - India ii. In the Name of Lord's - England iii. Thunder Down Under - Australia iv. The Green Parade - Pakistan v. The Caribbean Fist - West Indies

I would definitely recommend to try these out. Apart from this, there are the following food items which we ordered:

Chipotle BBQ Prawns:

Prawns mixed together with garlic, chipotle peppers, lemon juice, olive oil, paprika, cilantro, kosher salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and cayenne pepper and thereafter tenderly barbequed. The peices were perfectly cooked and extremely delicious.

Chingri Malaikari Pizza:

The pizza crust was quite soft where the topping was done with prawns and coconut milk and flavoured with spices which was thereafter overloaded with cheese. This was literaly the best thing of my dining experience at Traffic Gastropub.

Dragon Fish

The dish was made quite spicy and the pieces were perfectly cooked and was quite soft when tasted. I would recommed this to try out with drinks as a starter.

Pulse Chicken Tikka

The chunks of roasted marinated chicken was cooked with different spices along with Pulse candy which made the taste very special.

Baadsahi Platter

As the name resembles, the platter is for the Kings. The dish was served with a whole Tandoori Murgh along with a green chutni, accompanied by Tandoori Roti made in a Baadsahi style.

Oreogasm

This is expecially for all the Oreo Lovers. The desert is a huge block of ice cream covered with delicious oreo biscuits. There was a topping done with chocolate sauce making the dish a perfect option for desert.

Syncing with the transcendental harmony of Durga Puja , majority chefs across our city of joy are busy to recreate new dishes where continental gets wrapped in Indian cultural outfit portraying the vibrance of this grand festival . Traffic at Chinar Park CC2 which is otherwise the favourite junctions of youngsters to keep their party vibe on tiptoe — hard and tight has brought resplendent , innovative , delectable cuisines specially for this Durga Puja 2021 . Our party started today with Shasthir Bandhan and other dishes are served judiciously one after another . Lets deep dive into what we had :

Shashthir Bandhan : Delicious Afgani chicken Rashmi tikka covered with abundant quantity of dry fruits to give the luxurious and traditional vibe of Durga Puja .

Smoking Goat : Cooked in traditional tandoor style, these mutton kababs were extremely succulent ,served with roasted potato and profusion of cheese.

Crocodile Bird : These birds are actually Tiger Prawn in disguise plated to give a Crocodile shape , two broccolis as wings by the side , served upon green mashed potato , where the flesh has enthralled us getting dipped In surfeit amount of cheese.

Calcutta 2 Kolkata : The name portrays the journey of Calcutta people from Calcutta to Kolkata , having renaissance in food style and taste , where pizza resembles the era of Calcutta (led by East India Company) and bhetki paturi as topping and stuffing signifies unity of Bengalis to remain one and undivided as Kolkatans .

Param Sundari : Yes we Bongs are indeed Param Sundari , sexy in attire , spicy in intellect and that’s how our golden fried prawns are … Super delicious, soft inside and crunchy outside .

Stall Adda : How can we miss Durga Puja without street side gorgeous delights be it chicken roll or mutton noodles? In this dish , they have brought two of the most favourites of Bengalis on a single plate .

Chinese Chilli Garlic Noodles and Chilli Chicken combo : This combo is ready to steal the heart of all Bengalis as usual it does forever .

I visited this pub a couple of weeks back and I had an amazing experience there! The ambience is very cool and aesthetic. We ordered a lot many items and each of them tasted good. I was really impressed by the staff-service. The staffs were very courteous and friendly. They maintained proper safety protocols and carried out proper sanitization procedures. Coming to the drinks, we ordered Screwdriver, Cosmopolitan and Caprioska. The Screwdriver cocktail had a mixture of orange juice and vodka. It had a slight sour taste. Cosmopolitan was a mixture of cranberry juice, lime and vodka. Caprioska had lime juice mixed with vodka. Every drink was very refreshing. Coming to the food items, we ordered BBQ chicken wings, Dragon fish, Chingri Malai kari pizza, Meatology pizza, China Rice, China Noodles, Balwant Singh Chicken Kebab, Nimbu Mahi Kebab, Grilled Chicken with mushroom pepper sauce, Pork chops. The BBQ Chicken Wings tasted amazing. The dragon fish was made to perfection with a perfect blend of spices. The Chingri Malaikari Pizza is indeed a signature dish of this pub. It had small pieces of prawn in it and tasted good. The Meatology pizza tasted heavenly. The China Rice and Noodles tasted good. They were well-cooked. The Balwant Singh Chicken Kebab had large pieces of Chicken in it, made to perfection. I really liked this dish! The Pork Chops was not much liked by me. The Grilled Chicken and Pork Chops was served with steamed rice and smashed potatoes. The Grilled Chicken tasted amazing. Coming to the desserts, we ordered Hot Sizzling Brownie with Nolen Gurer Ice-Cream and Malai Cupcake. The Brownie and ice-cream was heavenly. The Malai cake was okayish. Overall, an awesome experience visiting this pub!
