Adyar Ananda Bhavan, a venerable institution in Chennai's culinary landscape, continues to enchant patrons with its unwavering commitment to authentic South Indian fare. A recent gastronomic sojourn to this esteemed establishment proved to be an unequivocally delightful experience, culminating in an encounter with the sublime Ghee Podi Dosa. The ambiance, while unassuming, exudes a palpable aura of tradition and warmth, transporting diners to a bygone era of culinary artistry. The service, rendered with impeccable efficiency and a genuine sense of hospitality, further enhanced the overall dining experience. However, it was the Ghee Podi Dosa that truly captivated the senses. A masterpiece of culinary craftsmanship, the dosa arrived impeccably presented, its crisp, golden-brown exterior hinting at the delectable delights within. The generous dollop of ghee, shimmering seductively, imbued the dosa with an ethereal aroma, while the vibrant red podi, a symphony of flavors, tantalized the palate. The first bite was an epiphany. The crisp, delicate texture of the dosa yielded effortlessly, revealing a symphony of flavors that danced upon the tongue. The piquant podi, a harmonious blend of spices, tantalized the taste buds with its fiery zest, while the subtle sweetness of the ghee provided a comforting counterpoint. Each subsequent bite was an exploration of culinary nirvana, a journey through a tapestry of textures and tastes. In conclusion, Adyar Ananda Bhavan remains a beacon of culinary excellence in Chennai, offering a truly unforgettable dining experience. The Ghee Podi Dosa, a testament to the establishment's unwavering commitment to culinary artistry, stands as a masterpiece of South Indian cuisine, a dish that will undoubtedly linger in the memory long after the last bite has been savored.

I visited this branch of A2B with my family on 16th June and ordered the masala dosa, poori and khichadi. All three dishes arrived dry and seemed merely reheated rather than freshly prepared. While my waiter attempted to take my order, another staff member redirected him to a different table without so much as an “excuse me,” because manners are clearly optional when your customer is paying. The ambiance was delightfully rustic, complete with a generous sprinkling of flies and mosquitoes nature’s way of reminding you that nothing can mask a lack of hygiene. Service? Impeccably consistent in its ability to ignore me whenever a “more important” guest appeared. I assume I’ll be remembered next time right after I settle the ₹305 bill for food that’s apparently valued well above its quality. Bravo, A2B, for teaching us all that even paying patrons are a perfectly acceptable afterthought.

An excellent place for a family outing. Centrally located at the entrance of the metro station it is a big hit with the millenial commuters as well as the usual family crowd. Its main advantage is its large parking space. The ambience is pleasant and cheerful mainly because of the very welcoming and polite and courteous staff who take personal care of you with a smile. There are three sectoins: the sweets and snacks section, the tiffin section and the fruits and juice section which is conveniently located outside, so that if need be one can enjoy a drink in a hurry. The quality and food items of all the three sections are excellent : fresh, warm or cold as the case maybe and very very delectable. The pricing is very reasonable and it is certainly value for money. Their medhu vadais and sambar vadais are a big hit and go well with the piping hot filter coffee.

Worst experience today @A2B, Ashok Nagar. hotel staff served spoiled food in the morning breakfast. Dosa masala or dosai puzhukai smell, worst Rava dosai, Bad smell in ghee dosai. When we asked immediately they cancelled mini tiffen bill amount. Hotel supervisor and Staff should have responsibility and concern on consumers paying huge amount and poor quality food served. Employee attitude is the problem. If they think as consumers they will not do these mistake again and again. We go to hotel either if we are hungry or to get good food experience with family members and friends. A2B never bother about the same minting money from consumers by return giving poor quality of food. Consumers don't have time to fight for rights and leaving this culprit to flourishing. Population advantage helping them to grow even serving poor quality of food. Unless employees change their attitude and take a oath to serve quality food to consumers and take care of their health, nothing will change....my review also treated as...
