I went here today and I should say I was definitely dissapointed after all the reviews and hype created from YouTube. The dosas were average and the side dishes were bordering on below average. Above all of this this guy's attitude is a real dampener. His tone is very arrogant and the way he speaks is really rude. I understand that he handles everything alone but that shouldn't make him compromise on customer service. His attitude is as if he's serving us dosas for free. Roadside food hand carts are abundant in Chennai and the only way they're retaining their customers is because of the way they handle their customers. I tried his garlic dosa, pudina dosa, mysuru masala dosa, and ghee dosai. Only garlic dosai was good; All others were average. The chutneys are super watery and the sambar is pathetic. He should make better arrangements to manage the crowd instead of venting out to customers. Moreover he wants ppl to pay even before they have their dosa. Thoroughly...

Dosa mama as he is famously known, is better off than any 5 star chef I've ever seen. He's quick in taking orders, does not let us wait for more than 5 minutes in spite of the crowd, serves us with hot&tasty unimaginable varieties of dosas with a homemade touch to it. Given the huge number of orders he takes, there is no compromise in the cleanliness though it is a street food stall. Inspite of being a street stall, the types of dosas and adai he offers cannot be found in any high class veg speciality restaurant. Mama's vegetable adai, tomato dosa, garlic dosa, mysore masala dosa never let you down. This is a must eat and must visit street joint for anybody who goes to West mambalam. The rates are very nominal when compared to any other place which offers such awesome varieties of dosas. Enjoy hot dosas in the open air, counting the stars !! In a word...

We hit there after a sporty night and i was expecting a push cart, but the business has pushed him to start a standing dinning. We ordered some variety dosas. The price doesn't match the quantity it's was paid for the brand image and hygiene that the Dosa mama has managed. People are okay paying 60 per Dosa and the variety of value added chutney/spread/powder/ghee that goes on it. Broke our over expectation and it seems to be a home style Dosa with medium high price on the bill.

No wheel Chair accessible All you can eat menu Suitable for kids Not suitable for Dine in Standing dinning model with a bench for three is available. Elders visit for gut safe food 100% Vegetarian Vegan menu Good for takeway Good for quick munch Only Dosa at night served sambar and 2 chutneys Breakfast and lunch are available (haven't tasted yet so included...

Dosa varieties are good. Chutney can taste better. Sambar is quiet watery. Overall good for 50rs per dosa. Mama gets irritated at times and shouts. He can add a board stating ONLY CASH ACCEPTED. Location - opposite road of Sivanmalai aandavar shop. Maps might misguide you at times. Updated version Still the same opinion ----- DON'T VISIT. He is promoting his shop thru Instagram and YouTube. Worst food ever eaten, staff has no respect for ladies. The moment he sees the customer walking in silently he will walk away because he for sure knows people would blast him. If you ask extra Vada or poriyal the staff would laugh at you for no reason and charges extra as well. Food is pathetic, not hot. They mix ginger garlic paste in water and serve you as karakozhabu. Payasam is just watery milk with sugar. End point - too much hyped in YouTube.

Went there for dinner today. Had to wait for an hour. Looking at the lone grandpa doing all dosa work decided to give it a try. Was disappointed with his strict rules and unhygienic plates (doesn't wash them, just butter paper and banana leaf is changed) saw it only at the end when he ran out of the stacked plates. Rule1) Minimum 2 dosa you need to order but you can't eat 1 and take parcel of the other. After an hour of waiting, talking with others in the line me and my wife paid for 4 dosas and before finishing the 4th we thought we'll have one more for which his reply was stand in the queue and order again. Was in no mood to fight and just said your too strict and unpleasant and left the place thinking never again I'm coming here. Any dosa from the menu is 40 which is no less than other kaiyendhi shops. Decide if it's worth the price

Every item I tried was excellent, and the Podi Doza was a standout. The dining experience would have been perfect if it weren’t for the sole person handling everything - from preparing and serving to collecting payments. While the food and ambiance were fantastic, the owner’s attitude towards customers left something to be desired. He seemed to have his own way of talking, which could be off-putting. Despite this, the food is worth the visit, especially for Podi Doza lovers. Overall, I had a mixed experience at this restaurant - great food but slightly hindered by the owner’s demeanor.
