Read moreOn my wishlist for a long-time and wanted to try this place even before covid.
To begin with, are their positives - their authenticity in every one of their signature dishes, it was curated perfectly with perfect spice level; secondly would be their consistency across all the outlets, which is something unique. But on the flip side, their service was very pathetic and when it gets crowded, the servers look clueless. Most of the time, the dishes were swapped to a different table and there were many annoyed faces.
Naatukozhi soup - On the first serving, this came out all oily and no soup at all; on the second serving, this came to all gravy like a kolambu and didn't feel like a soup at all, OH NO
Charcoal BBQ - Smoked chicken with tender meat and crispy skin; though juicy this wasn't as spicy as it could have been; GOOD with the mayo
Chicken biryani - TOO GOOD with a hint of sweet flavor from the biryani; well-cooked meat in long grain rice, no-frills yet aromatic
Veg biryani - Too much of long raw beans with the other veggies only in bits and pieces; not spicy but just wholesome
Kizhi parotta - A Trending dish with parotta soaked in salna and meat all around and an egg; yet again not sure what the hype was all about since this was just OK with chunky meat, medium spiced gravy, and soggy parotta
Chicken malai tikka - Kinda hard and roasted on the edge but was good with the mint dip; very juicy and succulent on the whole
Sparkling Pineapple and Grape - Drinks are not their forte; the pulpiness from the essence was evident along every sip; too strong and ain't slurpy, BAD
Tender coconut falooda - Ice cream topped with cut fruits and tender coconut ice cream again; good combination of fruits with a hint of elaneer, GOOD
Their ambience is pleasing with valet parking available and good seating space too. Their decor is similar to all their other outlets while their service needs a revamp. Most of the time it's the language barrier...
Read moreI really love this place previously. I am going there for more than five years.. Slowly the standard goes down. We had shifted from Saligramam to Avadi, even then when ever we want to dine we love to come here. Today we had been for our lunch... When we went to the washroom to clean our hands we saw Cockroaches on the sink and as well as traveling on the floor.. Then the water from the sink is leaking and all my slippers got wet. Then when you are having food the waiter keeps coming so often and asking is can I take this plate can I please pass on the finished dishes etc.. Come-on this is not the way to treat your customers.. They don't allow you to eat in peace.. When we told them please don't disturb like this.. Then the waiter has gone and conveyed the message to others and we saw others laughing at this issue.. This is unacceptable behavior.. When we gave the order that guy is taking around five minutes to check from his mobile to order that dish.. Isn't that unprofessional..and the biggest thing is there are flies everywhere even on the food which you order.. And when you ask him what is this.. They just bring a mosquito bat to kill those flies.. Is this an environment where you like to dine.. I think the answer from everyone will be no... Overall we were extremely upset with the way the restaurant is going on.. Would be good if they try to keep up...
