Sri Balajee Bhavan — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Writing this with a broken heart. Please train your staff to behave,or at least "act" nicely. The waiter who took our order backtalked in front of us!! I don't know why ? Did He think that we don't understand tamil because of our look or we speak Malayalam ? The incident shook my heart like anything. This was my first time in this branch and don't know what to say. He was not even willing to give the bill since I told him," I'll gpay". Not once, 3 times he abused us.

About "tip" - If you give a tip to someone such as a waiter in a restaurant, you give them some money to thank them for their services. If you want a tip, do your duty responsibly.

Funny part: informed the management and they were like, "dude, if you want to eat, eat or else get lost" attitude!!

Man, How can you bully a person you don't know anything about ? I travelled almost half part of India. This is the very first awful experience(from a restaurant ) I had from the city I love most after my home. Chennai. Thank you 👍🏻🙏 Please be nice to people who visit there, mostly the customers are bystanders or their relatives of patients from nearby hospitals. We don't know other people's situations. it was a happy day for me and this ruined all the essence of that day I had. Be nice. It costs you nothing. Earn the customer's heart ❤️ which a person working in service...

Idk if the good reviews I read are genuine, cuz I was served stale kadai veg and dry brittle rotis,( probably gravy from the day before reheated with vegetables) The Idly was reheated from the morning batch I suppose cuz it was dry and crusty in the edges. Water tumblers were dusty and had white deposits around the open end probably the soap was rinsed off poorly. The water tumblers must have been sitting out for long on the tables to have collected such amount of dust. Service is utterly pathetic. Saw a male staff in the female washroom doing some maintenance work. Last but not least tables were dirty with sambar stains and sticky to lay hands on. I wouldn't be surprised if I get food poisoning the next day lol. Better avoid this place including Padmam on this same road. Prefer to spend your money on something worth than this stale highly...

I've been here a few times.

When it comes to Tamil sapad, All items except rice is served lukewarm and not piping hot. Only sambar and rasam is hot. Kootu, sweet, morkolambu etc.., all are luke warm. Appalm is not Crispy. They need to improve the sapad quality.

Also need improvement in hygiene standards.

Parotta Kurma is very bad as they don't make it fresh on order, i feel they re heat and give. Parotta was kind of wet and watery and showed signs of reheating.

Mysore Bonda and dosa are good. No complaints.

Overall an average experience. Neither too good nor too bad.
