6th Aug23, Sunday, we had our lunch at this R&G restaurant in Hotel Green Park, Vadapalani.

Table Booking - Booked thru EasyDiner and not given a warm welcome by hotel staff. They tried pushing you to a pool side seating in blistering heat for lunch. Managed to fight it out for an inside table with AC.

Bad Service - Trainees attend the table without any intervention by Seniors. We had to ask thrice for a Roti basket and second serving of grill. They just set the table and forget you (Standalone BBQs are way better in service)

Cramped seating - Though restaurant has good space, we were seated in a jammed area. Hardly one could squeeze thru the tables to reach the buffet spread.

Limited menu - I enjoyed the food being a non vegetarian, both Chicken and Lamb curries were tasty. Salad spread was decent. My son had good reviews for Mutton Biryani. For a vegetarian, it's a raw deal in buffet. Dessert section wasn't fresh and spread was limited.

Price - Rs.1500/- per pax is not steep but not for this service & menu. Coal BBQ or BBQ nation is value for money for the elaborate spread, live BBQ on table and better service. For half the price. If one can afford a Rs.1000/- more, definitely give this a skip for The Kebab factory in Radisson Blu.

To sum it up, this restaurant is not built for servicing bigger capacities. No warm welcome, no smiles, no ask for refills, no feedback asked at exit. Overall, it's a big NO.

This is the first time visited this place for official team dinner with my colleagues but I am disappointed with the service, food, etc. 1)When I booked a table they said buffet price was 1999 per head but bill received 2033 per person they never explained anything for this extra amount. 2)We booked the table outside near the swimming pool, once we reached restaurant we requested to arrange a table inside due to climate was very hot outside but staff is not responded for more than 15 mins finally we loose our control and raised our voice, then staff Mr.Ramakrishnan said no table inside so just start your starters outside for main course I will arrange a seat inside its my promise like he said after that he never reached us. 3) Service was very poor, once we settled in a table waiting for more than 15 mins to serve the starters that too very slow. We totally 8 members they served for 3 first then after 10 mins next 3 and then next 2 by the time first set of people waiting for next round they never asked for next round even if we asked they never listen. One of the best restaurants in the city. Tried multiple times. Nothing disappointed. Better than usual BBQ buffets.

Grills are served at the table. Well cooked , tasty grilled fish, chicken and prawn. Additional starters are also very tasty that includes shik kababs, swarmas, tava fish and many more. Veggies too gets good option. Cajun potato, paneers and mushrooms will be great.

I personally liked pineapples and grills Chicken.

They serve with a smiling face. You shall request for increase or decrease spices or any customisation. Overall service is good.

A minor issue here is, have to wait for refilling. This could have been reduced.

Buffet menu will be limited. But dishes are above average, almost good taste. Mutton biryani tasted better than usual buffet mass mutton biryani. Fish gravy , mutton gravy nice. Couldn't explore much on veg side. But equally they does have good options.

Deserts are very good. Minimal varieties. But really satisfies. Elaneer payasam, Cakes, icecream, sweets all are nice.

Optionally, you shall also order for drinks.
