‘WORST FOOD & SERVICE’ I didn’t expect on the New year Day.
We planned for dinner at THE WEDDING BIRYANI on 1st January, after seeing videos of Instagram food vloggers.
We reached the restaurant around 7:45pm. We were asked to wait for 15 mins though the restaurant was not busy. I enquired about the menu items, the person in the reception was not answering properly. Two other people were also enquiring but no proper response.
After 10 mins another person came to the reception. I ordered Kalyna mapillaI Virundhu(KMV) - 1, Chicken Briyani Virundhu -1 and paratta- 1 for my kid. But no Chicken Virundhu, so changed to Mutton Virundhu and He said no option to order paratta (but it was in the menu). I asked him again but he asked me to order Poricha nei parotta(3 pieces). So without any other option I ordered it.
They started serving the Mutton Virundhu, After waiting for almost 30 mins I asked for Poricha nei parotta & KMV, then they brought Poricha nei parotta, which was hard and tasteless, I Informed the waiter then to the receptionist but no response, Later I complained to the manager, but he was trying to justify repeatedly that this is how poricha nei parotta would be cooked. I requested for a refund as my kids(neither us) were not able to eat, but he denied.
Waiting for 45 mins, First I got the sides for Kalyna mapillaI Virundhu(KMV) which were ‘ok’ish, then got Poricha poratta (Worst & tasteless), after 15-20 mins got Kuzhi paniyaram, which was ok. Idiyappam - Not served, then after 20 mins got Kari dosa which was good and tasty. Service person don’t know what to serve for KMV. After a long wait we got semiya kheema biryani (worthless, low quantity and tasteless). We called the manager and informed about it and enquired about the unlimited items. He mentioned that idiyappam, kuzhi paniyaram would be unlimited. Thus I asked them for kuzhi paniyaaram again, they said it would be served in 15 mins. We waited for almost 45 minutes, and even after multiple reminders(to the manager as well), they forgot about it and they said sorry sir, no paniyaram available. Finally the gravies were served, but there were no main dishes for gravy. Desserts were served after so many requests. Some are not good.
Others who ordered KMV were also questioning and complaining. When I told the manager that I would post review about this incident, he offered to refund the money for Poricha nei parotta & KMV. I denied the offer then he offered with some vouchers and mutton biryani Parcel. Which I denied. Finally they refunded for Poricha nei parotta(which we didn’t eat).
’NO MORE VISIT to THE WEDDING BIRYANI’ ’NEVER TRUST the FOOD VLOGGERS’

Read moreOne of the few places which recently caught up with the trend of Kalyana pandi (Wedding style) biryani.
To start with their positives, they have organized it well with a separate spot for takeaway and a queue (long at times) for dining. As you place your order and pay, you're given the token after which you go in to find a spot for yourself.
Disappointed to realize that their Chicken Biryani was out of stock so soon so went with Mutton.
Mutton biryani - Traditional wedding style biryani (with 3-4 meat pieces) served on a banana leaf with Raitha, Brinjal, and Bread halwa. The taste was authentic with succulent meat and rich aroma from the spices. 🥰
The bread halwa was ultimate with ghee floating on top; eventually, we went for a repeat of the same. 😍
Nenju ezhumbu - So damn tender meat which glides away from the bone; had an exquisite flavor to it with the meat, WOW 👌
Mutton Chukka - Soft and jelly meat with more spice (Pepper); a buttery affair with so many onions though; if not for the onions, this one deserves an applause 👏
Valet parking is available and there is decent parking space by the roadside. They have long seating spaces like the marriage halls with at least 90 pax per round (GOOD). There will be waiting time during peak hours (BEAR WITH IT) while the service needs improvement.
On the service part, we were left in shambles since the waiters took helluva time to serve the mutton side dishes for the Biryani. We were almost done with our main course and then the accompaniments came to our table. It was the language barrier leading to the communication gap which needs to be fixed.
Furthermore, the prices of the chukka and other side dishes were ridiculous compared to the quantity they served. We hardly had 2 pieces of meat in each plate and the rest was only onions and gravy. We couldn't believe that we paid 300 each for...
Read moreNice food but poor service! Period! Biriyani was fantastic and the lamb couldn’t be more tender, simply loved it! The problem here is staff was restless and kind of rude! They were not treating the customers as it is supposed to be. The concept was a genius and it was really crowded that we had to wait for 30 minutes outside in hot weather 🥵. They should have a bigger waiting hall with air conditioning. They served sweet and chicken piece both were less in quantity and could have served more pieces actually! I had to ask for more sweet which was denied at first😕
And biriyani for second time only rice and no meat? Which was a major setback to me at least.
If the starters are served in good quantity & second time rice with some meat and customers serving with a smile and caring, then this place is a bliss!
I recommend this place for biriyani freaks and those who miss weeding style food!
Just a suggestion- They can consider serving coffee/tea and banana to have a complete wedding style meal 🥘
