Read moreIt’s an amazing place, it always reminds me on the time I spent in Kyoto. Absolutely amazing interior design, everything looks well planed, deeply into every tiny piece. The whole place looks like an art studio, take a look at their AC and you know what I mean;)
First floor you can buy your daily food items like fresh vegetables, spices, bread and even some freshly made salads or sandwiches. I bought the rye sourdough which is absolutely fantastic. fresh tomatoes black/red The eggplant chutney paste, which is actually my favourite, great taste can’t get enough. The strawberry jam is also absolutely fantastic, you can taste the real strawberries inside.
Second floor they have their cafe with lots of space and greatly designed seating areas. I like the place right next to the window area with Japanese style seating.
The food is absolutely amazing, with all the well balanced spices, everything has a great quality. Coffee, tea, juices, bread, scrambled eggs, pesto, matcha pancakes and shakes, everything tasted absolutely fantastic.
But with all these high quality standards, you immediately start looking into all the tiny details.
The cutlery looks nice but this knife isn’t the right tool to cut through that delicious crusty sourdough bread. It would be great to have a sharper knife, to get the job done, or just simply use your hands and take a bite;)) Complimentary water is great, a refill would be nice, without asking. For getting the bill, that will take a while, needed to ask two different staff to finally get it. I think it’s more a thing outside of Asia, but they would love to have salt and pepper, for everyone who loves to have even more basic flavours. Don’t get me wrong on this, I liked it, it’s well balanced already. But my company was a different story, they needed to have even more spices on their...
Read moreBokashi completely lost my trust with their negligent customer service due to the staff today. I live in the same street as Bokashi and used to be a loyal customer, regularly doing my groceries and eating here. Unfortunately, after today’s experience I will not be returning…
The first time I ordered their breakfast bento for takeaway, I noticed the portion of salmon was much smaller than when dining in. I let it slide. Today I came back to order it politely raised the issue before ordering, asking them to ensure the takeaway portion matched what they serve in-house. Despite this, the salmon portion I received was even smaller than last time - tiny barely half a finger’s size.
When I asked to pay extra for a proper portion, they overcharged me. The menu clearly states 25k for extra salmon, but they charged me 55k, claiming the “extra” salmon is different when ordered with a bento. This makes no sense. On top of that, I requested to speak to a manager, but no manager was on duty.
Rather than addressing my concern, staff were dismissive and uninterested. It’s disappointing that they did not value feedback or care about keeping a long-term customer who comes often. I even stated that they are losing a customer due to this type of lack of decent customer service and they absolutely did not care.
Also, if you check their GoFood reviews, many other customers have complained about the same issue (takeaway portions being much smaller than dining in). Clearly, this is a recurring problem they refuse to fix.
Sadly, after this experience, I won’t...
