Disappointed absolutely. The service is slow, food is awful.

We had a reservation and came in time. Was disappointed to find out that our table is on the second floor that is smelly and doesn’t have a fresh air, only aircon. After we took our places, we had to wait for the menu around 10 mins! Omg are you serious ? why? Is there a problem with menu list copies? In the menu we couldn’t find the positions what our table neighbors had. We asked the waiter and found out that he forgot to give us a special menu offer lol.

As for food… bad. Very bad. Risotto with shrimps was undercooked. Rice was so hard and firm, and sticky to the tooth. Really… is risotto should be like that? In shrimps risotto there were only 2 shrimps. Lol

Octopus was too undercooked. It was even impossible to cut a piece because it was rare. I ve tried the grilled octopus many times before and for sure it shouldn’t be like that.

Tuna sashimi wasn’t also nice. Pieces were huge and there were fish bones. So… not that “melty tartar” that everybody loves.

To sum it up… worse restaurant experience. We came hungry and left hungry. How in the sea products place people can’t cook sea products properly is a riddle for me....

This was our second time at Bonito in Umalas, and once again, it was absolutely outstanding. We went for the chef’s set menu, enjoyed right at the counter—chef’s table style—and every dish was a journey in itself.

What makes Bonito truly special is the balance of flavors and the creativity behind every plate. The chef beautifully blends Indonesian and Balinese cooking techniques with his Italian background, creating something genuinely unique and unforgettable. Each ingredient has a purpose, and the chef takes the time to explain every detail, which makes the experience even more engaging.

Spending time interacting with him and the incredible team behind the counter adds a personal and memorable touch. You can feel the passion and care in everything they do. The service is flawless—friendly, professional, and always with the right energy.

It’s a place filled with positive vibes, where food is treated like an art form. Whether you go for the à la carte or the set menu, you’re in for something special. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely keep...

I had the pleasure of taking my wife to this charming establishment for a romantic and elegant dinner. The ambience and food were absolutely brilliant, ensuring a delightful atmosphere for our evening. Sadly however, the dishes were on the smaller side, so we left still feeling a bit hungry.

However, despite that, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We started with the deep-fried calamari fritti, which was cooked beautifully and offered a tantalizing combination of flavours. The confit prawns bruschette showcased the chef's expertise, delivering a burst of exquisite taste. For our main course, we savoured the seabream and baby lobsters, although they were petite in size, practically resembling my finger. Nevertheless, each dish was cooked to perfection, showcasing an explosion of flavours that delighted our palates.

Overall, despite the smaller portions, the culinary creations at this establishment were undeniably impressive. If you appreciate meticulous preparation and flavourful dishes, I highly recommend giving this...
