I came to Cantina earlier today for a late lunch/early dinner and had a good experience. The restaurant obviously prides itself on its exceptional service, as I had an amazing server and the owner/manager came by to talk to me as well. The interior is really nicely designed and they have a cool wine vault wall.
I realize now that I mightâve made the mistake of not ordering pasta, pizza, and/or wine at an Italian restaurant, but I still enjoyed the meal, despite a few flaws. I ordered a spinach and pumpkin salad, charred wagyu rolls, and the roasted chicken main.
The salad was fresh and healthy, with a natural amount of earthiness, but I felt like the dressing didnât pair super well with it. I feel like something a little more liquid-y and vinegar-y might work better on this dish, to help balance the earthiness. The wagyu rolls were good, though a little subtly flavoredâthey were best with the lemon juice and chimichurri on top.
The roast chicken main was beautifully presented and very flavorful. It felt truly Italian to me, especially with the small side of stewed tomatoes and olives. The chicken was juicy, had a great char, and had small sides that paired very well with it.
A good experience overall, and definitely affordable for the level of service and attention to detail. This is probably a great spot for a group dinner or a romantic date....

The food at Cantina is simply outstanding. We had Nonna's meatballs, Caprese salad, and Tuna, and all dishes were perfectly cooked. The Nonna's meatballs were incredibly delicious, bursting with flavour and perfectly cooked. The Caprese salad was fresh and vibrant, with perfectly ripe tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and fragrant basil. The tuna was cooked just right, with a nice sear on the outside and a beautiful pink centre.

Read moreUnfortunately, the experience didnât quite live up to expectations. The service was a bit off, with the server attempting to clear our plates even though I hadnât finished my meal yet, which felt rushed and inconsiderate. To top it off, the birthday surprise (free chocolate cake) they offered seemed more like a procedural formality than a heartfelt gesture.
As for the food:
They served chips with Humus as dipping sauce as a complimentary.
-Quattro Formaggi (6 slices/IDR 128K): The dough was quite nice, soft and crispy, but the mushrooms on top helped balance out the overload of cheese, which was a bit too salty for my taste.
-Carbonara Fettucine (IDR 108K): The pasta was way too al dente, which I personally didnât enjoy, and the dough was a bit too thick and wide for my liking. The sauce wasnât creamy enough to balance it out.
-Lasagna (IDR 120K): The meat portion was decent, but the tomato and béchamel sauce felt insufficient and lacked flavor.
-Watermelon juice (IDR 55K): Taste just fine
Sadly, the overall experience didnât meet my expectations and dime spent. While the setting was pleasant, the food and service left much...
