Rimba Bird Guest House — Hotel in Pulau Bali

I recently had the misfortune of staying at Rimba Bird Guest House, and it was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. Not only did they steal numerous items from my room(see attached), but the manager, a girl who seemed to take pleasure in being as rude and unprofessional as possible, made my stay a living hell.The moment I checked in, I knew something was off. The guest house was filthy, with trash littering the floors and a general air of neglect hanging over the entire place. But I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, thinking that maybe it was just a one-off.Big mistake.As I unpacked, I noticed that several of my belongings were missing. I reported this to the manager, expecting some kind of apology or offer to help resolve the issue. Instead, she became defensive and hostile, implying that I must have brought the items with me and was just trying to scam them. When I tried to explain that I had receipts and could prove the items were mine, she became even more aggressive, making baseless accusations about me bringing "girls" to the guest house (whatever that's supposed to mean).It was clear that she was more interested in covering up her own incompetence than in resolving the issue. And when I tried to escalate the matter, she became increasingly belligerent, making personal attacks and trying to shame me.Needless to say, I will never set foot in this dump again, and I would advise anyone considering staying here to think twice. The manager's behavior was not only unprofessional but also racist and deeply offensive. NOT GOOD FOR SLEEPING or WORKING

If you've been to Bali you'll know finding decent accommodation can be testing. I thought I'd found a nice little place and booked 4 weeks in advance to secure my room. I had only one question - is it quiet/any contruction noise? The answer was a firm no!

Unfortunately this couldn't be further from the truth. Every morning I was woken up with the sounds of multiple hammers, which continued for most of the day along with other general construction noises. I work late and so my sleep is important to me, and I saw many others come and leave soon after.

I had been from place to place so was keen to try and make it work. I asked the manager if I could move rooms as soon as one became available (even prepared to wait a few weeks) - but when this did occur (someone moved out) the manager refused to let me change rooms. There are a select number of rooms that are probably less affected by the noise - so be hopeful it's yours!

Secondly - the WIFI drops out at least once a day and often is spotty - so if you are planning to work here then just be prepared to be a little patient.

Some other smaller points; bathroom was a little dirty (toilet had permanent stains), and there were these little flies that used to come up through the sink, and the tap had one setting - full force!! (lol).

She insinuated that I was attempting to scam them and even made unfounded remarks about my personal life. It was evident that she cared more about saving face than addressing the issue. Her behavior escalated to personal attacks and attempts to shame me when I sought further assistance. I will never return to this establishment and strongly advise others to reconsider staying here. The manager's conduct was not only unprofessional but also offensive. The guest house itself is dilapidated, and the staff prioritize covering up their errors over providing satisfactory service.
