I have no idea how this place has a 4.9 rating. Visited tonight as a family of 6 and wanted a place within walking distance as we have an early pick up tomorrow. 1 other customer in restaurant on arrival around 6.30 pm who wasn't eating. Waitress was friendly enough explained they had no rice left (fair enough ) and 2 portions of steak left. Luckily we'd looked at the menu beforehand and none of us in the family wanted either unavailable items. Order was taken fairly swiftly but given we were the only table in there was as it should be. What I didn't expect was that each item and person would receive their order separately. My son who ordered chips as a side dish received first and ate them. My husband then got his main dish and despite trying to eat slowly finished it before the next dish came out. My daughter had barramundi fillet which was completely overcooked. The fact none of us had eaten since a 10 am breakfast led her to reluctantly eat it! By the time I received my order which was a crispy squid zucchini salad (this was 20 mins after my husband had finished his meal but brought out with my daughters starter. They forgot her main dish altogether but at least we were eating) the salad consisted of mainly little gem lettuce (no mention of little gem lettuce in the description) asparagus, mint, basil were all missing ingredients but described in write up. Worst of all there was six tiny rings of squid that had been cooked to within an inch of it's life barely warm and completely chewy and overcooked. By this point I'm so disgusted that I called the waitress over explained the texture of the squid and the fact that we have been served and eaten separately as a family. Her response was there was only 1 chef! Seriously??? I said well you have all this seating in the restaurant and you can't accommodate a family of 6? What's really made me angry is that there are so many wonderful places to eat and we have wasted one of our nights out on this dump! Do yourself a favour and don't waste your time or money. Maybe an ok place for drinks if your on your own as it's easy to serve one person at a time. The musician that had started playing also sounded decent but apart from that...
Read moreThe only impressive thing here is the look of the place and the food. But sadly, that's where it ends. The service is friendly—no issues there. But the food is really bad.
I had Eggs Benedict, and it had dill in it! Why is there dill in Eggs Benedict? They make it look nice, but the taste is all wrong. And the bun was stale.
The scrambled eggs were dry, the salmon wasn't fresh, and the bread I paid extra for was old and over-toasted, almost impossible to eat.
The pancakes were the last disappointment. I was told kindly that it would take 30 minutes, which was fine. But the pancakes were covered in a terrible syrup that tasted like it was from the 90s. The canned fruit didn't help. Yes, the pancakes were fluffy, but that's it. Maybe I'm being critical, but for a breakfast costing 550,000 IDR, I expected better quality and ingredients.
It feels like someone opened this place to charge high Canggu prices but doesn’t care...
Read moreWas in Bali on Oct 16th and had dinner with friends at Capricorn. The food was delicious! I had garlic sautéed mushroom and it was truly satisfying. My friends ordered salmon rice with spicy dabu sauce, another friend had ham and cheese, and smoothie bowl. Although there was a slight delay with one of the dishes, the restaurant made up for it by giving us a refreshing watermelon juice as a gift. The service was outstanding, the staff were incredibly friendly. The ambiance was pleasant, with a live band duo performing soothing and easy-listening songs. Overall, it was a...
