Read moreSadly, I have to write a poor review because our experience was terrible. We haven't been to restaurants much since the pandemic, so tonight was a bit of a splurge, but it was a true disappointment and I hate I wasted a special night here.
Firstly, the hotdog was good, slightly undercooked but still tasty and a good value. Crispy pork was also nice. The fries were cold and soggy... But for 225k ++ for their "premium" upsize ribs, it was truly awful. And to match, the service was a true 0/10!
We were starving so we struggled through half the ribs, unable to pull the meat from the bones and literally needed to use a knife to get the meat off. The end pieces were lukewarm at best and the center was cold, actually cold cold. Finally we gave up. After sitting for 20-30 minutes with a half eaten plate, a staff finally looked at us and asked to take the plates. He didn't ask how things were or why we had so much food on the plate, so I took the initiative and complained because the ribs were very tough and cold, he took the plate and after about 5 minutes he returned. He said he spoke to the manager and head chef and they offered to replace the half order. If anyone actually checked on us, we would have happily waited for a fresh order, mistakes happen... but after nearly half an hour, I wasn't in the mood to wait for fresh ribs. A shame the manager could not be bothered to concern himself with an unsatisfied customer.
Poor service and very poor experience :( 452k and I am left very unsatisfied and...

Crispy skin pork belly for 79 K IDR++
Served on a bed of fresh green mango salad, this rendition of crispy pork belly really does shine in how it balances so well the richness of the belly with the acidity of the salad. As usual i would have loved more chili slices for some more oomph, but this is still a very good dish that should be acceptable for most palates. The belly itself is tender and moist while still having a very crispy skin - all signs of great technique. Meanwhile, the mango salad serves as an almost neutral (in a good way) base on which to deliver the acidity and the bursts of freshness from the cherry tomatoes works so well to add depth and texture to tantalize the senses.
Admittedly, it is a bit on the costlier side considering its size - but it is definitely still worth the price. Meanwhile, the 50 K++ garden salad is really filling and i do appreciate their simple dressing but the 35 K++ mango smoothie does feel a bit watered down - which i guess is the standard for cafes in Jakarta, soooo yeah...
On another note, i have to say that the quirky somewhat kitschy atmosphere is quite fun to experience and i guess i should have grown some bigger balls and took that photo with the red Marilyn dress - but i guess I'll have to do it next time with a group i can also share their humongous pork knuckle with.
