I must give a shout out to Watercress. I dined there numerous times and got a lot of work done in their little oasis.
The space? Easy breezy and tranquil without feeling dull. Designed with earthy, comforting woods, clean white walls, and lush greenery. Perfect for remote working, dining solo, date nights, meetings with colleagues, or hanging with friends. The tunes were spot on and felt curated— seamlessly switching between chill house beats and the one's you find yourself humming along to.
The food? Exceptional. FULL of flavor. I cannot say the same about many other places I tried in the area. Whether you dine in or do delivery— same quality. I ordered their entrees (try the cauliflower burger with chat potatoes- wow), apps, salads, savory tarts, desserts, delish coffee, fresh juices, brunch, etc. Plentiful vegetarian options. The food is always fresh, colorful, creative but not boujie, and similarly priced to other spots but much, much better. Curated by a chef and then executed by the kitchen guys exquisitely; flawlessly... in a gorgeous open kitchen. I never ate one bad meal-- I didn't even eat anything mediocre. Neither did my friends or colleagues.
The service? Impeccable. One server in particular: Uma. This serene woman excels at her job and Watercress is fortunate to have her. She's the reason I felt compelled to leave this review. Uma knows how to be attentive without being intrusive. She has perfect timing knowing when something else is needed, and when to just let you be. She recognizes the importance of letting you walk in, find the table best suited for you, get settled, and THEN bring you the menu :) She is warm, engaging, and efficient. Gives honest recommendations. And she really listens and doesn't talk over you. She is lovely in every way and I looked forward to seeing her every time I walked in to this special place.
And lastly... they are sweetly dog friendly, offering bowls of water and kind salutations to the lovely pets of regulars; but also, and even more impressively, to the sweet community dogs, many of which are spayed, neutered, and vaccinated. These sweet babies would often come by just to say hello to their Watercress friends, politely asking for a pat on the head, a belly scratch, and then might stay for a bit to enjoy a cool reprieve from the heat on the tile floor. Love. Kindness. Humanity at it's finest.
I haven't reviewed a restaurant in a very long time. Haven't had the desire to. But this spot... well, this one's unique. Drop by if you can and say hello to Sari the manager, my friend Uma, and please give a kiss to my sweet doggo friends Jesse,...

Read moreI’m writing to express my deep disappointment with a recent experience at your restaurant during the Flower Dinner promotion. I traveled an hour to dine with high expectations, but unfortunately, the service and communication left us frustrated and dissatisfied.
We ordered two main courses, and initially, we were told that one of the dishes was included under the promotion. However, just a few minutes later, a staff member returned to tell us we needed to change to a cheaper option because the item was not part of the promotion and the tuna was “sold out.”
This already felt confusing, but it got worse. I then asked to speak with another staff member for clarification. Surprisingly, she informed us that the tuna was actually available and could be ordered with the chicken—completely contradicting what the first lady had said. This made it clear that we were either misinformed or misled, which is unacceptable.
I then asked if I could pay the price difference to upgrade to two lamb shoulders, and was told “no.” This made the entire promotion feel very rigid, unclear, and poorly managed. Instead of enjoying our time, we ended up sitting and waiting for over 30 minutes, feeling disappointed and misled.
This experience wasted our time and left us with a very negative impression. A promotion should be a way to delight and attract customers—not confuse or frustrate them.
I hope your team takes this feedback seriously and works on improving communication, staff training, and flexibility in customer service. Clear information and respectful treatment...
