Walked past every day while we were staying nearby, to other eateries, the french bakery, massage places and other restaurants. It was always empty. Read the reviews on here and it sounded bloody amazing! The sign out the front showed an amazing looking Mega Double beef burger with bacon and a free Bintang on weekends for $13. Thought we'd give it a go! The burger photo looked 2D4 and the online reviews of the restaurant sounded spectacular. The condensation from the drinks made our table like a river the whole time, we were mopping up the liquid the whole time. We ordered the double beef burger and free bintang deal, it took forever to cook and come out to us (a very long wait!), only smelled it cooking 30 minutes after we ordered it at 12 noon, we were the only people in the restaurant so weren't sure why it took so long. We were then served tiny burgers with no bacon, with 2 x 10 cent piece sized beef patties, with a few chips and a small salad on the plate. My husband was so hungry after the mini burger and 10 chips, he actually ate his salad, which I haven't seen him do in the last 15 years ! 😂 The other reviews about the local indo foods looked great, but I wouldn't rate the mini snack 1 bite burger which promised to be something more Jurassic Park sized. Very disappointed. Pretty sure we basically paid for the Bintang, not the burger! Also, no air flow in the restaurant, very dark inside, she turned a fan on for us which didn't do anything. We sat and ran rivers of sweat and had to leave because we were almost passing out from the heat, lack of breeze and sweat. Wouldn't recommend this place for burgers, maybe their local foods are better but we won't be going back, even for the local foods, after this dismal experience....

Nice place, friendly staff but the food was tasteless.
We had nasi champur, we had mixed sate, we had mie somewhat(??)
But everything missed flavor.
I'm used to Indonesian food, ate in a lot of warungs but never had Indonesian food that tastes like nothing.
Too bad, as I love Indonesian food.
But, looking at the menu.. This is not a real warung (anymore) On the menu is fries, fish, pasta, hamburgers a.s.o.
Al food that has nothing to do with proper Indonesian food. Stick to 1 style of cuisine and do it properly!
Tourist seem to like it, as there where only tourist there. I'm afraid these people don't have a clue whatIndonesian food is about.
But for me the food was a true...
Read moreThere used to be two Warung Sobat, one close to the main prison, one in Batu Belig. This review is about the latter. Open restaurant close to the traffic, but has for many years been a favourite amongst expats and locals alike, as well as tourists who have been recommended to pay them a visit. The warung is kind of a secret I guess one could say. Inexpensive and good food. Before Covid I used to come here all the time, I totally loved the food. Now I am back in Bali after 3,5 years and have been there only once. Had nasi ayam, chicken with rice which was OK, not special. But they do have a lot of meat, fish and pork dishes and if the standard is as before you are...
