Our airbnb host suggested this place, as it was not too far to walk to it, but he was not wrong the food is really interesting, super tasty and inexpensive. The place is not super impressive from the road, but the rice field views from the back are really great. It has a narrow range of dishes on the menu, and delivers them really well. A word of caution, the Google search suggested it was open as late as 8, I think it depends on the level of custom already in, but it wasn't open nearly that late on our first attempt, a six o'clock visit the next day was fruitful, and we were so happy. Well to be honest , I didn't expect that the food that they served here are taste exquisite and also they sell traditional balinese dishes that you won't find in another places. I tried their Tipat Base Blayag (ketupat or indonesian rice cake served with urap, boiled egg, shreeded chicken with cocunut milk broth). I also tried their Lak-lak ( tradiotional balinese cake whichnis similar to javanese "serabi" but served with shreeded coconut and drizzled with liquid "gula aren" or indonesian palm sugar. Not much English, but the pics helped and the ladies prepping it up we’re so kind. We ordered 6-7 dishes (they’re tapas, essentially), tea, Bali coffee and a local drink (like a bubble tea... delish and super sweet!) and it was all 46K IDR or about $3.50 USD.
Even if you don’t fill up, it’s worth the trip to scope out some...
