The food is tasteless. Not worth it. I went to this restaurant because it has 5 stars on Google reviews. However, I had a very different experience. I went there for lunch yesterday (Saturday). I ordered gado-gado, but it was tasteless. The peanut sauce was flavorless and runny. Gado-gado is a simple food that consists of mixed vegetables. The peanut sauce is the key. As an Indonesian, I was disappointed because I could find much better gado-gado in small warungs for a lower price. The lumpia (a spring roll with a thin pastry wrapper and a savory or sweet filling) tastes like old food. My mistake was that I went to the resto with an assumption. Based on my experience in Jakarta, most restaurants with the name "Rempah" serve high-quality food to upscale customers. My mistake. Initially, when I ordered something, the staff said, "Not available." I ordered another, and received the same response. I must have looked confused, so the staff said, "It's weekend. As soon as you enter the space, you are greeted by 3 beautiful sisters who run the business together. In true hospitable Indonesian culture, the warmth of their hearts welcomes you to a true dining experience. Upstairs you will be serenaded by the dance of the padi fields that’s blowing in the wind while soaking in the picturesque sunshine kissing the abundant landscape. The food is as delicious and free of msg as you can get. There is a tendency for local food to be dowsed in msg however I was very impressed to find a restaurant that aligns with the ethical and cultural values. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kisah Rempah restaurant and it was an absolute delight! Nestled in the beautiful Pantai Lima area.

The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly their rendang menu. Bursting with authentic flavors and tender meat, their rendang left me wanting more. The spices were perfectly balanced, creating a mouthwatering aroma that had me instantly hooked.

Aside from the delectable rendang, the overall experience at Kisah Rempah was satisfying. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, providing a comfortable setting for a relaxed meal.
