The Hula — Restaurant in Bali

One of my go-to neighborhood cafes by Pererenan. Mostly going because it’s convenient, very near me, and love the ambiance for productivity. the sofas perfect for brainstorming and lazing around while working, and the staff who’s very attentive. The coffee is good enough, non-dairy milk offered +6K IDR, and large upgrade is different pricing. When they make it large though the portions aren’t as good — the mocha lacks chocolate and coffee, the flat white missing caffeine too much milk. I appreciate the gluten free options and with bakery across Acme, but the one time I ordered sandwich and got gluten free - boy was it barely edible :/ (see photo below) and bakery did not have anything gluten free aside from sweets, unfortunately. Good side is they have other coffee offerings including decaf, and espresso tonic, plus a wide range of tea also. You can also order pastries from their bakery from here. Pet friendly makes it a big plus!!

For management to improve - formula on gluten free (!!!), the barista coffee portions, and maybe loyalty card cause us nearby always go here too!

Recommended for - hang out cafes, best cafes pererenan, cafes good for meetings and strong wifi, coworking cafe canggu bali, pet friendly...

I love the food, absolutely delicious, but the service quality is absolutely horrible….need to wait for 10-15 min for someone to come and take your order because the staff is just staying at the cashier and chit chatting with each other. Needed to come to the cashier by myself in order to make an order.

Moreover, ordered cappuccino with oat milk, literally 2 min after the waitress comes back to me to confirm what milk I ordered and when my coffee arrives it’s with fresh milk I can’t tolerate!!! Like come on…I mentioned oat milk twice! The workers are sweet, but their service is just not up to par....

Be carefull there is 10% more on the bill for the service. It's noted in very small at the bottom of the pages. I don't like this policy , it's really a "scam" to inflate the bill. So I didn't have enough to pay. I was missing 30 KR so less than 2€. I had to leave my phone because otherwise the female manager didn't want me to go to my hostel for take my money 🤦. I found her behavior very inappropriate and not professional. I was disappointed and would not return to this restaurant. The food is correct but the value for money is not good. Price for tourist...
