My crispy duck didn’t eat much during its life, skin and bone with hardly any meat and not like the ones I’ve been seeing in the other pics. Came with a selection of sambals that were tasty and quite hot, that unfortunately couldn’t be enjoyed because there was hardly any protein to enjoy it with. Partner had chicken, ditto very small and hardly any meat on it. Would give more stars if they brought the entree before the main (instead of pretty much concurrently), and they had proper sized main protein with adequate meat. Entree was calamari, I don’t think it was freshly done as it came quickly and wasn’t hot straight from the fryer but luke-warm and it came a few minutes before the main. The grounds are lovely, but the execution needs a lot of work. Sorry to say this, but it was...

Deceptive location, have to walk down past parking and down path. But the place is lovely. Inside and outdoor seating. Beautiful ambience and deceptively big area at the back for outdoor seating under traditional thatched pergolas. Came about 2pm so the place was quiet. Wonderful experience and Ari was a delight to be served by. All the staff were lovely. Gave 4 stars for service because, though lovely, they could have been more attentive. Considering I was there in a quiet period, I still had to call staff over to order dessert. No one asked if everything was ok , or I needed something else. They were very task-focussed, rather than...

Beautiful restaurant with authentic indinesian feel. Gorgeous garden entrance out front with some simple outdoor toys for young toddlers. Inside has a very spacious feeling and it very open. Traditional indoensian music. Out back there is another garden area and has some traditional indonesian hutt / booths made of wood - each with its own table and seats. So, as a group you can have your own private area overlooking the garden. Food was lovely- very authentic indoensian cuisine. Taps nearby for washing messy fingers. Extra bonus- you can cut through here to the back road and save time in traffic!...

Nothing short of outstanding. Probably my favorite place to get bebek - crispy duck is a specialty dish here and this restaurant does not disappoint. While it is famous, it isn't overly crowded and you can always find a seat. Service is excellent. Your food is served quickly. I came back twice in 3 days for a meal and was a satisfied customer each time. The sambal is also not too spicy so it's a good accompaniment. The grilled gurami is also very good if you'd like to try something besides the duck. They also make a very nice soda gembira if you want to try a really local nostalgic Indonesian drink.

I've eaten everywhere in Bali, from the roadside lalapan warung to five star hotels, and this restaurant gave me (and my wife) our first food poisoning. The omen came after dinner when my wife saw our server came out of the restroom and went about her way without washing her hands. Sure enough, six hours later, we were both agonizing over the toilet. We didn't eat at any other restaurant this evening, so we're confident that they're the culprit. Bebek Tepi Sawah, please train your staff better. Washing hands only takes 20 seconds, I thought we're all already well-trained with it post-covid.
