Tryna find a home roasted and brewed specialty coffee shop with a unique, peak hanging-out vibe? This is your pick.
With warm lighting, a mixture of 90s japanese, just a bit of bladerunner-esque alleyway (the red led strip), and punk rock (most of the time, depends on their mood lmao) playlist, you'll get a one of kind experience here.
Very welcoming staff (and customer, funny enough, the ones who goes here are commonly the barista's friends), both in hospitality sense and coffee talks. Whether you're new to coffee or experienced, you'll get a good time here.
The menus are too many to list, they have espresso based, manual brew, and non coffee stuffs, although at time of review the espresso based is unavailable, due to the grinder in repair. I ordered Pengauban Full washed, Wanuja honey, and bir syariah (yes thats the actual name, can't explain in english, just ask em). The full wash was very much pleasant, easy to drink, sweet, and just the right amount acidity, berry-ish notes. Great for drinking over time. The Wanuja honey. I'd say a bit of a punch to my tongue. Still very pleasant to drink but a bit too bitter and "sharp" for me. To people who likes funky coffee, I'd suggest giving it a try. Before moving on, a bit of note, they ROAST ALL THEIR BEANS THEMSELVES, you know they care about their coffee a lot. The last menu, bir syariah, it's a mocktail, very refreshing, right amount of sourness and sweetness. Highly recommend for those who don't drink coffee. Interestingly, it does taste somewhat like an alcoholic drink, it's non alcoholic, don't worry if you don't/can't drink alcohol.
Now, this shop is more oriented to exploring coffee instead of staying with a huge group of people. There isn't much space to sit around and no space to work on your stuff, like on laptops and whatnot, so yeah.
All in all, I had a great time here, I felt very welcome and I got to drink awesome coffee. Caffeine intoxication out of 10.
Cheers.
