Lontong Kari Gang Kebon Karet — Restaurant in Bandung City

Hi.. all happy day started when youre have a happy breakfast. Well its been awhile since im giving ya'll a usefull tips and tricks regarding my beutifull hometown one and only bandung city a flower town (they say) . One of my favourite place to have bfast is lontong kari kebon karet, they starting nearly thirty years ago (i think) until now 2020 the flavour and taste still the best lontong in town. Today im having lontong kari regular its cost idr 23k (nearly usd2.00) beleive me that is value for money. Im completly full till lunch time. The taste is soo rich by the coconut milk,herb,spices you dont need any additional except sambal and orange lime twist(if you need you can add some soybean sauce), and the broth is really mouthwatering and the side meat dishes...

Trying this legend culinary in Bandung. I ordered Lontong Kari and Lontong Kari Special for lunch. They gave you a half-boiled-egg for a “Special” one. It consists of cube shaped steamed rice (lontong/tipat), one quail egg, a few sliced beef, melinjo chips (emping) and fried soybeans with coconut curry milk. To be honest, their soup has a nice santan viscosity but they are way too sweet for me. Adding their unspicy chilli sambal won’t help to make it any better. Kebon Karet Alley is a walking distance from Bandung Station. So, the first thing to do after we arrived in Bandung by train is heading to this place. When you find the alley, you will see all the signs and huge banner of the place.

The place is small and could be very cramped on the peak hours but still convenient since Bandung is not as hot as Jakarta. Price is fair US$2/serve.
