(Sorry for mixing the porridge up - im that type of person 😁) This porridge is a great great choice for you nightcrawlers, or not, cause its open until quite late. Simple place, really fast service.
Not too thick, not too thin. Not the Sukabumi type with yellow chicken stock. Just porridge. The porridge tastes just fantastic cause its made with free range chicken (ayam kampung). if you like to cook, youd know the difference. Savory to the top! Condiments of emping and fried shallots (bawang goreng), yummm, plus the sambal is not just red as some places might be, but SPICY! Just how chilli-lovers would expect.
There is so much shredded chicken (you can choose your personalized topping), you would never spoon just the porridge till the end. Trust me. Even without any toppings at all, the porridge is delicious on its own. Comfort food for a runny nose...

Visited Bubur Ayam Gibbas in Kebon Jati area for breakfast. I ordered their Bubur Cakueh Ayam regular size (you guys gonna get a portion of porridge topped with abundant shredded chicken, cakueh and fried onions). You can also ordered half portion in Bubur Ayam Gibbas. They also provide assertive chicken gizzards, chicken skins and egg for additional toppings. I totally like their tasty and savory porridge, also another extra points for abundant toppings. You also gonna get hot tea for free to accompany the porridge. Notes for you guys, you didn't have to worry about eating area, since they have many seating area to adequate the customers. Alright, I'm gonna be honest. For me this is the best Bubur Ayam in town. If you like me that favors savory and salty meals, this is the Bubur Ayam you should go to.
The toppings! oh man, they'll give you plenty. If you like chicken skin, this is much better than any other places. I've been to several known Bubur Ayam places in Bandung and i admit Bubur Gibbas is the king.
But disclaimer, this Bubur Ayam is not the kind that has greens and soy sauce or kuah kuning type like Cirebon or anything. This is the most generic and original Bubur and Ayam in one dish, of course you can choose any other toppings that you want. I think it was a derivative from chinese cuisine.
