The only great thing about the stay is the location. We thought we were getting a good deal on a 4-star hotel room in a prime location at the price we paid which was 750k/room including breakfast. Boy, were we wrong. Everything in this hotel is old, and I mean EVERYTHING. There was a coffee stain on our bedsheets since we first walked in. The blanket was musty. The king size mattress is old and it sinks in the middle. There is a stain on the shower. Luckily though, the toilet seems to be new. The tv is a small old TV, I don't know if it even turns on. There are no plugs next to the bed, so you'll have to charge at the table. The window in our room looks like it hasn't been clean since the day this hotel was built, so you can't even look outside without feeling dirty. The escalator is old and creaky. The lift was so old it malfunctioned for the entire week of our stay and we had to take the staff elevator in the back area. The swimming pool looks so old, I don't have kids but if I do, I wouldn't let them swim in it. Wifi is decent but not fast. You have to go down to the concierge to order food from outside (which you have to, because there is no room service). Look, some things are positive. The location is central. There is a minimarket next to the hotel parking lot. The staff are friendly. If your goal of staying here is just to experience staying at an old, historic hotel, then I guess there is a point to staying here. However, know that the facilities at this hotel are far from well-kept, and are in dire need of mass remodelling. They should update the star system - maybe this hotel was four stars 5 decades ago. My elderly parents did not enjoy their stay, since the inconveniences far outweigh the novelty of staying at a historic hotel. If you care about things being the way they should be at a hotel, you'd be better off staying at a two-star budget hotel chain like...
Read moreI stayed in an executive twin room, the size of the room was quite large, there was a sitting area and dining table. my room was on the asia africa side. There is no lift to get to the room even though it only goes up 1 floor. The staff has explained that because the hotel is a heritage building, it did not receive permission from the tourism department to add an elevator. I understand and have no problem with the elevator.
I was just disappointed with the color of the furniture which was different from the photo on Traveloka. When I conveyed it to the operator named R*, he only answered modestly and I felt he was not polite or respectful of the guests. At night the sound of vehicles from the Asia Africa road can be heard quite loudly in the room. It turns out that this road is often used by illegal racing with noisy exhausts. My rest was quite disturbed. There are many choices of TV channels, but because they are not yet digital, some of the channels' images are still not clear. The breakfast menu choices are quite varied, but for taste, I'm sorry, it's very standard. soy sauce chicken is hard to bite, there is eggplant on the menu which is hard and inedible. Reception staff, security and house keeping are friendly. the swimming pool area is very full in the morning and evening, probably because of the holiday season. there are several additional points: there is an Indomaret in the hotel building near the parking entrance, close to the Braga and culinary areas of Bandung, located in the middle of Bandung city, AC is cold and works well, hot water works well, spacious bathroom, separate shower area with bathtub, lighting There are quite a lot of rooms in the room and the lighting is comfortable. The downside is that the room lacks electrical...
Read moreI booked 2 nights for long-weekend period on 29 to 31 October 2020. This was my second visit as I like hotel location at city centre, clean, and friendly polite staffs. After 10 hours long drive from Yogyakarta, I arrived at the hotel earliest at 8 AM and requested early check-in with additional charge. The receptionist lady (Mega) stated I can't get early check-in with her reason of all rooms still occupied and dirty. I understand situation and she promised my room will ready at 12 noon. I agreed and paid for whole stay charging. Waiting at the lobby for 4 hours was not my expectations, but I have no choice. I saw many guests checked out earlier morning and I was asking the receptionist if I can have the room ready, she denied my request. The hotel management should retraining receptionist staff for better understanding and use commons sense and empathy how to handle guest who are waiting for long hours to get paid early check-in request. I think the hotel has changed its Management's company, it was totally different from my first visit in 2019. The only good point was all concierges (especially Sugeng), security staffs and room attendant were friendly,. polite, helpful and always greetings. Small note for MOD in charge that morning; I saw her didn't engage with guests who are waiting for long hours at the lobby, no courtesy at all. She caught taken food from restaurant (leftovers breakfasts) walked through the lobby headed to her back office. Room Cleanliness was good as usual. Breakfast variety also fine with social distancing...
