Driven by hunger, I forgot to take more photos of the dishes served at our table. However, what I can tell you is that the food here is incredibly delicious and perfectly embodies Sundanese food culture. We ordered Nasi Timbel, rice wrapped in leaves and cooked to perfection with a wonderful fragrance. For the side dishes, we chose grilled chicken, fried beef empal, and tofu tempeh. The vegetables were also delightful, including green beans, cucumber, and small squash, complemented by a spicy sambal ulek that pairs perfectly with the meal. Don't forget to order the Sayur Asem Soup. The broth is incredibly fresh and flavorful, with vegetables and sweet corn cob that you can enjoy with the tangy broth. To cool down, we ordered orange coconut juice. This light yet filling meal has brought us back to this restaurant multiple times, and we will certainly continue to return whenever we are in Bandung.

When ever I'm around the neighborhood and thinking to have a quick lunch, this homey ambience humble place always pop in my mind. I always choose a simple nasi timbel set the one with sayur asem and jambal roti. The fried marinated chicken is delicious and savoury, moist not dry, the bones even easily fall off. If you are very hungry, you can order karedok to share. Fresh vegetables with peanut sauce, delicious!! I recommend you their sambal dadak if you are the fierce spicy lover. The sambal that comes with the set barely tingle your tounge. This place has been famous for tourists as well! Parking space might be challenging especially on holiday season.

Very delicious homey food! It's a bit pricey, but since i don't live in bandung, i still find it worth to try. I would go back again. The set meal comes with the sayur asem soup, grilled chicken or fried chicken, fried tofu and tempe, and a tiny salted fish called ikan jambal. For those who love ikan jambal, this restaurant serves a good fried ikan jambal, paired very well with sambal. Place is very cozy and homey ambience, clean and good service. But the parking space is very limited.

Update review: I went back another time and ordered its nasi timbel. One word: excellent! From 4 stars to 5 stars.

I ordered karedok —- too full for the nasi timbel —- for lunch, and kelapa jeruk. Both are delicious. The karedok portion is small but just enough for me. The minus is only that there was no kerupuk. The kelapa jeruk was refreshing.

A little feedback for owner: please to never ask a customer to share table — no matter how politely the way it is delivered — with other customer. Especially in this covid situation, I don’t risk my health by sharing a table with...
