Since I've trien Bali Timbungan in Jakarta and Bali, now let me compare.
Restaurant Jakarta : Very sharp condition, neat, clean, looks upscale with very nice ambience of balinese. Bali : Just park the car and smell very bad since the trash bin is right at the parking space and the water from the trash was all over the ground. The ambience more like when you get into krisna oleh2 instead of a restaurant. There were flies inside the aircon area.
Service Jakarta : service was very great. All the waiter knows well how to explain each menu. They look very neat and good appearance. They wore gloves when handling all the food. Bali : just regular appearance of waiter/waitress. Service was so so. No gloves when handling the food.
Food Tried the same es cendol but tasted very different. Jakarta : the cendol was made from real pandan. You know when you tasted it and from the smell. The coconut milk also thick and very savoury. The palm sugar was also very thick and made mostly from real palm sugar Bali : the cendol tasted artificial and the green color was bright, unlike pandan color. And the coconut milk was very liquid and didn't taste like real coconut milk but more like creamer. And the palm sugar also very watery.
As for the food both quite similar.
Cleanliness Jakarta : no complain at all. Place was very clean and tidy. Bali : there were rat in the dining area. We left the restaurant immediately after we saw one.
Not sure if the restaurant has the same management but I think they have to put the same standard since the restaurant is under the same brand. Was looking forward to tried Bali Timbungan in Bali because my experienced in Jakarta was great. But after tried the original one in Bali, I definitely won't coming back again to...
Read moreplace : really a large place to eat, large parking, the indoor dining and outdoor area (open space) are both simple, nice and comfort, i was lucky, there was a live music upon my visit the dish i ordered : 2 ice lemon teas (nothing special) and 1 megibung package for 2 persons, consist of : 2 shot of welcome drink called loloh cemcem, such a freshness in small glass. 2 dessert option, assorted sliced fruit and fried klepon (new kind of klepon, dissapointing, or just really not my preference) 2 bowls of outstanding soup, ares and meetball, this is my favorite of the set menu, perfect the main dish came on the table extravagantly, served on what we called dulang, the presentation was just like how the balinese royal dine upon special occassion, it is too much but acceptable, while the yellow rice presented modestly in a bamboo bucket, hahaha the nasi kuning did not reach the savory level the megibung set, well, to those who are familiar with the strong balinese spices and taste, the dish here did not hit the flavor. but, to those who are not familiar with the balinese spices and taste, here is a relatively suitable for the introduction (first impression) i like the restaurant, clean and comfort, the staff are nice, the food is actually acceptable but unfortunately i am not a fan and totally not happy with the price tag (if only count and think of the food value) over priced may cover the cost of the premium location, the restaurant setting, the food presentation, understanable a big fly was joining our diner time, its okay, its natural, we are still in nature, the photo is also here as a prove, already reported to the...

If you’re in Bali and craving an authentic Balinese dining experience that will linger on your taste buds and your memories, Bali Timbangan Resto is an absolute must-visit.
We ordered a little feast and every bite told a story.
🌿 Mujair Nyat-Nyat perfectly marinated, rich in traditional spices, and slow-cooked until the flavors seeped deep into the tender fish. It’s not just a dish, it’s a soulful Balinese embrace.
🦆 Bebek Timbungan the showstopper! A rare, royal dish usually reserved for ceremonies. The duck was unbelievably tender, infused with herbs and spices, and steamed in bamboo to perfection. It’s a flavor explosion that dances between earthy, spicy, and aromatic.
🍚 Nasi Goreng Vegetarian simple but sensational. With mushroom skewers,Loaded with fresh vegetables, kissed with smoky wok aroma, and topped with the perfect crunch. A comfort dish done right.
🍹 And don’t skip the Cemceman refreshing, zesty, and uniquely Balinese. It’s the kind of drink that cools you down and wakes up your senses.
The ambiance? Lush, peaceful, and full of charm like dining in a secret garden with the warm hospitality of old Bali.
🧡 Every dish felt like it was prepared with love, passed down from generations, and served with pride. We didn’t just eat we experienced Bali.
Highly, highly...
