Sushi Kyuden Bali is highly regarded for its authentic Japanese cuisine and attentive service, making it a favorite among both locals and tourists. The restaurant's ambiance is often described as perfect, contributing to a memorable dining experience. Guests have praised the quality of the sushi, ramen, and other Japanese dishes, noting that the food is fresh and flavorful. The location on Sunset Road is convenient and easy to access, adding to the overall appeal.

However, not all reviews are glowing. Some diners have expressed disappointment with the service and food quality during certain visits. One reviewer mentioned a frustrating experience with additional charges and small portions, while another was dissatisfied with the freshness of the sushi, suggesting it had been sitting out for too long. These mixed experiences indicate that while Sushi Kyuden Bali can provide excellent meals, there are occasional inconsistencies.

On the positive side, many customers continue to recommend Sushi Kyuden Bali for its delicious food, fast service, and generous portions. The restaurant maintains a strong reputation with a high rating on various review platforms, reflecting its overall quality and popularity.

Have been coming here regularly for almost 4 years (4 bali trips per year). Over that time the dress code of patrons has relaxed somewhat and the menu is less extensive than previously, but still offers a huge selection compared to other Japanese restaurants I've visited here and in other countries. You can spend as little or as much as you like on your meal and still feel well-fed. The quality of the food is great. Prices are reasonable but have increased over the years also. The only down side is that you may have to wait a long time to be seated. If you are willing to wait, make sure you don't arrive with a grumbly belly or you may find it difficult to wait patiently. As such, I would strongly recommend making a booking to dine for lunch or dinner. Ensure your booking details are correct (via internet or phone) and arrive a few minutes earlier to ensure - otherwise they may give your booking away if you are late. Also, make sure that you receive all the dishes from your order in a timely manner together. Several times we've waited a very long time or not received items and had to ask after them...I must add though that this doesn't happen as much to us anymore. Overall, a great place to...

We recently dined at Sushi Kyuden Bali and were disappointed with the service, especially in the older dining area.

The restaurant currently has two sections: the newer, more modern space, and the older one. We opted for the older area because the new one looked quite crowded, and we wanted a quieter, more private setting.

Unfortunately, the service in the old section felt completely neglected.

It took 5–10 minutes after pressing the bell before anyone came to take additional orders.

Our dessert never arrived until 45 minutes after we had finished our main course.

Asking for the bill took another 25 minutes, which is honestly unacceptable.

Even though there were several other groups dining in the same area, the staff presence was minimal. It felt as if the old section was abandoned by the team. There was no sense of attentiveness or urgency, which significantly ruined the overall experience.

My suggestion to the management: if you're planning to focus solely on the new area, please close the old one. It's not fair to customers to offer a half-operating space with full-priced expectations and subpar service.

Until this is addressed, I cannot recommend dining in the older section of Sushi...

This sushi place previously known as the Sushi Tei. I heard the rumour about the changing name is because they want to keep the alcoholic beverages around but Sushi Tei is listed as the halal restaurant, so they had to change identity to not be listed as halal restaurant. No biggey, because everything is still the same. The food, the menu are all still Sushi Tei's. Anyway, this place is easily spotted as it is located just beside the main street of Sunset Road (if you're heading to the airport, this place is on your left). The building is huge, there are quite many empty places that give the minus vibes. To be honest, I enjoy the typical Sushi Tei's vibes more, it is compact. However, you can easily find a parking spot here whether you go with your own car or scooter. The hospitality of the staff is great, but there are many trainees when I was here. So, just bear with the laggey thinking of the trainees as they probably aren't trained yet to write down your order. Anyway, if you only want to go out and have some sushis and some Japanese food then this is the place. I think, I probably go with the old Sushi Tei as after I enjoyed my food, I wanna walk around at the shopping mall.

Had dinner here yesterday. The place was quite full, but it didn’t bother the atmosphere that it seemed overcrowded since the restaurant has a spacious feeling. The sushi train in the middle of the restaurant looks nice with the many chefs behind it. Each table has an electronic bell on it, to request assistance. Easy for the staff, but I prefer a more personal approach myself. They staff doesn’t check up asking if everything is okay during the night if you’re not pushing the button. The food itself was okay, although I expected a bit more. The softshell crab and the spicy tuna roll were tasty, but the special wagyu/mozzarella/sambal matah roll (which took over half an hour to finally arrive at the table) was unfortunately far below expectations. I was excited to try a tuna belly nigiri for the first time, but it tasted off. Maybe that’s how it supposed to be, but disappointed me. Overall a good place to eat with fair prices.
