You never know who’s the one will ruin your experience. I had a lovely evening at this place, had some drinks and then liking the music and the service decided to dinner too. Everything was great.
I’m giving 2 stars (now 4 stars, read at the bottom to know why) because when I was leaving walking home a guy, seemed one security guard in the darkness bothered me a lot. He said something like hello, where are you going? What!? I’m going home. Where’s your home? Really!? In the end I was trying to be polite and answering, bad idea. He said: you’re not allowed to be here. Oh really, customers are not allowed at this restaurant? LOL
Never happened something like to me, I was in fancy places all over the world and never had this kind of bad feeling. Usually this can be done easily with another style, asking in a different way and not asking personal things which is really annoying, you’re nobody to know where I live or where I’m going.

It's a long walk to Pier Eight from the lobby. The setting is nice, pretty spread out so we can relax and chat without bothering anyone and vice versa.
The drink order came pretty quickly but the food took a long while. The presentation of the food was very nice and the food tasted good - a few savoury (rice paper roll, a meat dish, etc) and sweet food (scone, a tart, chocolate cake, etc). Unfortunately for me, I require gluten free and there was no sweet food at all on mine. What a disappointment, I was looking forward to have a gluten free scone and a cake or two, but got none.
The staff was friendly. The view...
