You never know who’s the one will ruin your experience. I had a lovely evening at this place, had some drinks and then liking the music and the service decided to dinner too. Everything was great.

I’m giving 2 stars (now 4 stars, read at the bottom to know why) because when I was leaving walking home a guy, seemed one security guard in the darkness bothered me a lot. He said something like hello, where are you going? What!? I’m going home. Where’s your home? Really!? In the end I was trying to be polite and answering, bad idea. He said: you’re not allowed to be here. Oh really, customers are not allowed at this restaurant? LOL

Never happened something like to me, I was in fancy places all over the world and never had this kind of bad feeling. Usually this can be done easily with another style, asking in a different way and not asking personal things which is really annoying, you’re nobody to know where I live or where I’m going.

If you want to ruin a good experience you have the right guy working there, everything else was delicious.

PS: thank you for your kind reply, I’m upgrading my...

Great beachfront vibe, nice spot to chill and relax while watching the calm waves of Sanur beach. The food was mostly good, though the happy hour foods were subpar. However, the beef rendang we ordered had meat that was particularly hard to chew. When the server came to ask if we were satisfied with the food we informed her of the hard beef which she quickly apologized for it. A short while later the manager came by, introduced herself as Yanti, apologized for the beef, and offered us a complimentary dessert to make up for it. As the restaurant was not too busy, the manager came back later on to chat with us and even gave us a tour of the pool area of the connected Intercontinental Resort, despite it being after hours. Overall, the food was just fine though not as tasty as food at that price should be, but the staff, especially the manager, Yanti, provided...

A group of us had an afternoon tea at Intercontinental and we can choose to have it at the Lobby Lounge or Pier Eight. We chose Pier Eight.

It's a long walk to Pier Eight from the lobby. The setting is nice, pretty spread out so we can relax and chat without bothering anyone and vice versa.

The drink order came pretty quickly but the food took a long while. The presentation of the food was very nice and the food tasted good - a few savoury (rice paper roll, a meat dish, etc) and sweet food (scone, a tart, chocolate cake, etc). Unfortunately for me, I require gluten free and there was no sweet food at all on mine. What a disappointment, I was looking forward to have a gluten free scone and a cake or two, but got none.

The staff was friendly. The view...
