Updated review after a second visit...
First visit (24/04): Words can't describe how amazing our breakfast was this morning. I ordered the egg Shakshuka which was wonderfully spicy and so tasty I almost wanted to lick the bowl clean. The coffee was the best coffee I've had on this trip so far. The staff were so welcoming on arrival and served us with a smile through our visit.
Second visit (29/04): Well that was disappointing! I've dropped my review to 3 stars from 5 based on today's experience. This morning I went for "What my ex eats" and struggled through it. I'm pretty sure that bacon was deep fried based on look and texture. Spinach was almost definitely microwaved from frozen based on the texture. Mushrooms undercooked and didn't look too fresh. The two poached eggs I got were also some of the most pitiful poached eggs I've ever been given; Completely misshapen as if they were just dropped in water with no regard for the outcome. No thoughts or concern for presentation either.. everything was just thrown on a plate as-is! No sauce, no dressing, no effort..
Girlfriend had "What everybody wants" which she really enjoyed. The coffee was still just as good as the first time so not all bad..
Based on my two experiences above I would say be careful what you order. They are clearly better at some dishes than others, or perhaps we just had...

This breakfast spot offers an impressive all-day breakfast menu that initially drew us in. The staff proved to be a highlight of our visit, displaying genuine friendliness and attentive service throughout our meal. A standout was their perfectly crafted oat milk cappuccino - creamy, well-balanced, and absolutely delicious.
There were some challenges with the interior seating area - we noticed an unusual smell from the cushions that made us a bit uncomfortable, so we opted to enjoy our meal at their outdoor seating instead, which turned out to be quite pleasant.
The food had its hits and misses. My husband tried the "select your breakfast" with poached eggs, avocado, and marlin, which he found satisfactory though not particularly memorable. My shakshouka came with some nicely poached eggs and fresh greens on top, though the tomato sauce was a bit too salty for my taste.
The sourdough toast was quite crispy and thinly sliced, making it a bit challenging to eat.
While our experience wasn't perfect, the delicious coffee, welcoming staff, and variety of options make this place worth considering if you're in the area, particularly if you can snag an...
Read moreCan't get enough of this Nasi Campur magic. Walked in to Soul in A Bowl intending to eat some pasta, but ended up ordering this from their local delights menu.
When their Indonesian Classic Nasi Campur (65K++ IDR) was served to me, I was excited to find this portion so substantial! The moment I tucked in, I knew I was in for a good time. I don't eat spicy food much, but even I can't resist the 3 kinds of sambal it comes with - so much that when I had "extra" coconut rice leftover at the end of my meal, I finished it all with the sambal. UNREAL!!
The meats were delicious - 2 sticks of satay lilit & a drumstick of sticky chicken. The sweet & spicy fried tempe with peanuts was also good. This is a nice representation of local food!
The sayur urap, which is a dish of steamed vegetables with grated coconut, was something new to me & I liked it. & last but not least, a spiced egg which was pretty ordinary for me but at least the yolk wasn't too overcooked.
