I randomly stumbled upon “Paon Seafood and Balinese Restaurant” while looking for a chill spot to eat. The place is surprisingly quiet, which is perfect if you’re trying to escape the typical touristy crowd and just want to enjoy good food in peace.
The setting is really nice too, chill vibes, cozy decor, and they even played some good background music that makes the whole dining experience even better.
The seafood is super fresh, juicy, and honestly, I prefer it with their house seasoning over the sauce they serve on the side. The natural flavor really hits better that way.
Staff? Super friendly, quick and attentive, they don’t make you wait forever, which I appreciate because I came hungry-hungry. They even came around to ask if anything was missing or if the seasoning was okay, that extra level of care really makes a difference Toilet? Clean. Parking? FREE and spacious. Vibes? Chill.
Only thing, since it’s seafood, the flies were kinda annoying. Would be great if they added candles or something to keep them away.
But overall? Solid spot to hit if you’re craving good seafood...

Noodles were the crappy 2 min noodles with some veg and tiny frozen shrimp. Beef was tough, tasteless, and looks nothing like the photo. Very small portion compared to photo. The prawns were horrible and mushy. Was sucked in with the fresh seafood displayed out front only to be served frozen and long defrosted prawns, Well past their best before. When I enquired as to the freshness after finding them to be inedible I was told they were frozen prawns. Didn't eat them and I don't think staff really cared as we were still charged 100k for 5 mushy morcels. I did give an opportunity for them to redeem themselves though was disappointed when they still charged for them. French fries were nice and cooked in clean oil. Service was good otherwise putting aside the prawn issue. Kitchen is also pretty clean. Anyways, I'd avoid getting the seafood without first asking if...

Cons - food is bit expensive and not really worth for the taste. I m bit saying, that quality of food is love, just I expected something more. We had skewer for 105, was nicely done and taste 4/5 and big plate (dont know the name) for 390k, but it was dissapoitment. Tuna was dry, beef was rok chuwy, chicken was mostly fine. But sauce for beef and tuna wasnt so good. I needed to order soya sauce and chilly, so far 2,5/5. Other sides was 2,5/5, soup was 4,5/5.. for almos 400k, it was absolute average food.
We had black rice and fried vanilla puding for dessert, these were fine 3,5/5.
Drinks were just fine 3,5/5.
We paid for dinner over 800k. Tax and service charge is not included,...
