Warung Mina Sanur — Restaurant in Denpasar Selatan

After ordering our selection, 30mins later they told us one of our dishes was sold out. Why did they only tell us 30mins later?????

And then we ordered a replacement. Then they came back another 30mins later to tell us the other dish we ordered was sold out.

W...t...f....

Shouldn't you already tell us what is sold out? And also, why 30mins???

We were so hungry, if you immediately told us what was sold out, we would have ordered other dishes and we would have been satisfied.

Then there was the food. Fish was PATHETIC and cold. Then the Ayam Goreng and it came a tiny tiny tiny tiny chicken thigh. Wow.....

And the staff was extremely amateur. Just came and asked can I clear this dish when we were obviously still eating it. And then clearing the other dish when there was obviously still food on it.

And then at payment, our receipt was wrong because of their crazy "sold out" replacements (literally they made this mess themselves) and when we told them our correct order, wow, the cashier Mita gave such an agitated look as if it was our fault....

I'll never come back here and I hope you read this message and think about it. DONT come here if you are hungry.

Firstly, this warung is aesthetically beautiful, the ambience is great. However, thats the best of it. The venue does not deliver great food as the venue suggests. I wanted so much for the food to be incredible, yet it failed miserably. I ordered a Soto Ayam as a starter, the broth was good and tasty, I added some extra soy to add seasoning and balance. It was good, but the chicken was as dry as concrete and mostly unchewable. The eggs had the guts boiled out of them. I never finished, but the broth I did. Now, main course, the pepper beef, served with rice and a small salad on the side. The taste of the beef was below standard, low cut of meat, again the meat was so rubbery and unedible. I ate very little and I hate writing these reviews, but are compelled to when a restaurant can not meet basic expectations in food quality. I suggest this venue is over its head and it would be a shrewd move to employ qualified reputable chefs and kitchen staff. We were a registered 11-person birthday group at Warung Mina Sanur last night. 1 star for the food is ok. The rest like service, speed, preparation time of the dishes was catastrophic!!! Actually, that was minus 5 stars!!! Ordered at 06:40pm, first meal came at 07:35. The last meal came at 21:30!!!!! Around us the closing of the restaurant was already being prepared!!!
