Keray Indah Chinese Food — Restaurant in Depok

Favorite Chinese food restaurant amongst university students. The price and the food is really a good match. Crowd of people craving for food at about 6-8 pm. They look for a tasty food, big portion, and an affordable price. You can find it all here.

Their signature is hot-plates, it is also their best seller so far. But my favorite will be kwetiau goreng. The sweet taste of the soya sauce on the kwetiau always lingers in my mind and just makes me drooling. I think that they really maintain the quality of the taste, never change since the first come that was years back, although the chefs have changed.

My question is why the name is Keray Indah? Sounds like a pretty resort with an ocean view in a small island far from big cities. Still a question for me....

This is a chinese food stall that serves mainly on classic indonesian chinese food. The place itself is a little bit small and crowded, a come and go restaurant, so don't expect a nice place and very comfortable atmosphere. For car user, it might be a little difficult to find parking spot for your car in the busy hour.

For the meal, their infamous hot plate really lived up the hype. The best hot plate in town until i write this review. This is basically two restaurants in one place; Gulai Ayam (chicken in coconut milk herbs soup) and Soto (vegetable clear soup with chicken) restaurant for breakfast (until afternoon) and Chinese Tio Ciu style restaurant for dinner. Having breakfast here is super good and quite cheap. The taste is super consistent - been a regular since 2008, price is not changing much, wonder how can the bro owner survive this far. Tip: you can order extra fried egg for food accompaniment; soup is available either mixed with rice or separated bowl of soup with rice (different price).
